I can't help it if I make a scene.
Introduction

xxxxxBlink's younger and more outspoken sister, she is a drama student at NYU and active in various radical social justice organizations.

History

xxxxxAlice was born just outside the Freetown settlement in the Bahamas, the only child of Mary and Sydney Ferguson. Her father worked as a ship engineer and was away from home for months at a time, so she spent most of her time with her mother and her extended family, especially her maternal grandparents.

xxxxxShe grew up an active and happy child, loath to sit still (which gave her trouble in school), preferring to ramble the beaches and cliff sides near her home, swimming in the shallows, or fishing from sandbars farther out. She was popular among her peers for her friendliness and talent for singing. Though otherwise content, she prayed and prayed for a little sister.

xxxxxThat prayer was half-answered in her seventh year, when Sydney returned from his latest trip with a young Chinese stowaway, albeit one older than Alice. She spoke very little English, but called herself Blink -- for reasons that soon became readily apparent. The girls declared themselves sisters before their parents ever spoke of adoption, although there was never really much doubt that would come to pass.

xxxxxAlice learned Mandarin from her sister, who learned English from her in return. The two were inseparable even after Blink overcame her fear and disorientation at the radical change in her life and environs. When the only highschool on the island refused to accept Blink, the Fergusons moved to Miami. While they did find a school there that would accept the girl, she didn't really find acceptance. She was ostracized, ridiculed, and beaten by her classmates, yet disciplined for using her powers to escape.

xxxxxAlice stood up for Blink, often against children several years older and more than ready to resort to violence. This became easier when puberty hit and imbued her with totally-non-mutant strength and stature. It was in part Alice's insistence (and in part her expulsion from high school) that prompted the Fergusons to move to Pensacola when Blink entered nearby University of West Florida. Still very close to her sister, Alice became involved with Blink's environmental and social activism, as well her gaming hobby.

xxxxxIn high school, Alice fell in love with the stage, where her lifelong passion for singing found a new avenue of expression in musical theatre. From her first ensemble part in 'Grease', she auditioned for every play she could, though her proudest performance was the Witch in 'Into the Woods'. Determine to pursue stardom, she applied to several performing arts colleges and eventually entered NYU's Tisch School of the Arts while her parents moved back to the Bahamas.

Powers

xxxxxChewing the scenery...in an endearing way, really!

Skills

xxxxxAlice has a way with people that doesn't always seem immediately apparent, considering her direct mannerisms. Her enthusiasm is often infectious, and when she speaks people tend to listen (even if they do not agree). A powerful and melodious alto with an impressive range, she has both considerable vocal talent and training. Her acting experience is less extensive, but she has excellent stage presence.

xxxxxShe is very athletic in general, and in particular is a rather strong swimmer, an excellent soccer forward, a versatile basketball player, and an avid if not particularly experienced rock climber. Though she never excelled at academics, she has an excellent memory for spoken dialogue and text, which makes up for a lot in most conventional classrooms. She speaks English and Mandarin fluently, and Spanish conversationally.
