xxxxxA longtime Prometheus subject who has suffered horrific repeated traumas he can only vaguely recall. He eventually came under the protection of an unscrupulous researcher, whose carefully calculated gestures of kindness led him to willingly collaborate against other subjects.

xxxxxStanding only 5'7" with a light build, he tends toward wiry rather than muscular even when in the best of health, and never cuts a very imposing figure. He has wide, dark brown eyes, his black hair is usually buzzed short, and his skin always looks somewhat tan even though he has seen relatively little sun in his adult life.

xxxxxUsually quiet and withdrawn but prone to unpredictable bouts of extreme agitation and anger, Jamie is not easy to get along with. He is suspicious and cynical and pessimistic, showing his gentle and imaginative nature only rarely and to a select few.

xxxxxJamie can control other mutants' powers, to an extent. He can boost, suppress, activate, or deactivate powers up to around 15 meters in every direction, but his efficacy diminishes with distance. It is easy for him to use this ability as an area effect, and more difficult for him to apply it selectively (though familiarity can mitigate this). He can use this ability to "ping" for mutants who have active powers in his vicinity.
