Some pig.
Introduction

Deltressa is a macabre, nightmarish vision. Despite her appearance, has a welcoming and nurturing demeanor. She can be distrustful towards humans but has no qualms with topsider mutants, or mutants who choose to assimilate, and has even been known to keep the lines of communication open.

History

Deltressa was a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine when she became pregnant by one of her professors. The change in her hormonal state triggered her latent mutation to manifest.

Rejected by everyone she knew, she floundered until being adopted into the Morlocks.

Over the course of the following twenty years some-odd, Deltressa rebuilt her life. Down below, she has seen every manner of ailment. Mutants have been born, saved, and have died in her arms. What she lacked after not completing her formal education, she gained in hands-on experience in the trenches.

Now, widow of a Morlock-guard, she has raised four children of her own in the tunnels.

Powers

Ocelli Eyes (Three Pairs): She has four sets of eyes, in which only the principal eyes have moveable retinas. The secondary eyes have a reflector at the back of the eyes. The light-sensitive part of the receptor cells is next to this, so they get direct and reflected light. She is able to pick up on changes in environmental light intensity, which helps to guide her in low-light situations.

Pedipalps (Eight): In addition to her traditional humanoid appendages, she has eight pedipalps, shorter limbs near their head/mouth which are traditionally used in eating. With a reach of a little under three feet, each of these pedipalps ends in a barb capable of doing little more damage than a fingernail would. Able to move with the same precision as a human finger, these pedipalps move uniquely through a combination of hydraulics and muscles. As her blood circulates, her pedipalps extend. Muscles along each segment -- she has three on each pedipalp -- pull them back into place. Faster movement requires faster blood circulation, which can limit blood flow and slow response time elsewhere in her body.

Trichobithria: Each of her pedipalps are covered in fine sensory hairs. The least air vibration is able to get them moving, making her keenly aware of movement in her immediate area and giving her an advantage on reaction-time. The sensitivity is such that she is able to approximate size, speed, and location in respect to movement within proximity of herself. Conversely, a great deal of activity all around her can have a ‘sensory overload’ effect and cloud this perception.

Sexual Dimorphism: She is 7 feet, 0 inches in height and weighs in at 250 lbs.

Back-Alley Doctor - Before coming to live with the Morlocks, Deltressa was studying veterinary medicine. For the past twenty years, she has used this skillset to assist mutants living in the Morlock tunnels who might otherwise be unable to reach medical care out of lack of resource, emergency necessity, or stubborn refusal to go topside for places like the Mendel Clinic. It isn’t ideal, but it’s better than nothing. She has and will aid non-Morlock mutants.
Mother Dearest - Deltressa has four adult children with arachnid mutations: Rafiq, Zoraida, Ariana, and Francisca. Between the four of them, her family is in every facet of Morlock life.
