Introduction xxxxxCharismatic and beautiful but mysterious and distant, Vanessa (or Ms Rose to the students) has come from a very troubled history, but after recovery, is working to find a niche at Xavier's School. To students, she is strict but fair, although she often gives large amounts of homework. History xxxxx Once Vanessa's mutation surfaced, she was one of many to fall victim to testing facilities, and was used for years for darker purposes: but exactly what went on is something Vanessa is unlikely to share right away. The training is hard to forget, but it is several years behind her now, and working as a teacher and X-Man allows her to apply some of the questionable skills, while keeping the doors closed on that difficult time. Powers xxxxxVanessa is an "air" controller or kinetic, much like a metal controller or fire controller. She can control air pressure primarily (to cause air particles to move or slow), and control gas particles for a handful of air-related feats. Her primary experience is with using it to fly, similarly to how an airplane flies: by modifying the speed of air molecules to create low or higher air pressure, which generates different amounts of thrust. She can also create or calm wind, throw objects around, make air more difficult to breathe by thinning it, or at the most destructive (and unpredictable), create a tornado.
