Once her parents realized what she needed, they provided a steady supply of sweets, which she quickly adapted to. At this point, she could not go more than a couple days without something like a snickers, or a cupcake, and would be very ill if that was /all/ she got in that time period. She needs to consume this kind of food regularly through the day, every few hours, to feel normal. This is in addition to maintaining a diet relatively normal for a human her size and age.
