Introduction xxxxxOverview of your character goes here. Description xxxxxStanding at 74 inches when not slouching, Sydney is a somewhat taller than average person. He is average weight and buils though still carrying some weight at his waist and in his face from a chubby childhood. He is caucasian, with hazel eyes and hair that has been through several colors and is currently just bleached. Though his eyebrows are still a mouse brown color. Clothing preference changes based on practicality, but he favors overly large clothing and muted or dark colors. Especially prone to knit hats. Reputation xxxxxWhat (if anything) might others have heard about your character? It's okay if this is 'nothing'. This can also be specific to their faction (maybe they're class clown at their school!) or specific to a niche field (maybe you'd have heard of them if you know a lot about particle physics or cross country skiing, but not otherwise!) History xxxxxSydney Cloutier was born to an unremarkable set of parents in poor circumstances. A distant, alcoholic father and a mother with little time for a child she didn't want in the first place left him without much but to exist. He grew up long believing the things he overheard during arguments; a marriage held together because of money and because of the child. Without any real care from either parent, he sought emotional fulfillment from outside the family and through pop culture identity. He first heard voices when he was thirteen. It terrified him. He refused to tell anyone of the sounds and feelings that bombarded him in patchy, distant ways as he mutant ability began to manifest. It wasn't until he heard the radio call letters and a commercial that his fears of losing his mind turned to the more accurate fear of being one of those "mutants". He never tells his parents. Knowing of his mutant status, and seeking kinship, he throws himself into high school level activism. He finds connection there, even if he keeps his own mutant abilities under wraps. The subtle manifestations making it easy enough. He eventually attends UMass Lowell for political science. While there, he continues his activism, and there begins to admit to some his abilities and his desire to do more. Watching the shifts and slides of Rights and discrimination's legality, he began to feel there would never be a place for mutants while humanity held all the cards. His actions began small, listening in and disrupting pro human communication at rallies and protests. Then police, and press. His abilities are subtle enough to most people, but his repetitive ways and blunt behavior brought him some notice, and eventually into a circle of The Brotherhood. That is where he finds the closest thing to an emotional family he has had. He finds a goal in their work. And he finds the skills he's gained their to be more useful to his world than learning about how bad things are stacked against mutants. Powers xxxxxSydney's x gene allows him to manipulate and interpret radio frequency waves. In specific, he can "listen" to information transmitted via radio waves. He can also "speak" along wavelengths by manipulating and manifesting his own thoughts to receptive points like a radio or cellphone. He can signal and manipulate radio controlled devices or RFIDs within his bubble of signal. Ultimately he can effectively jam wavelengths by overloading them with "noise". His powers work in a roughly hundred foot radius bubble with "signal" being strongest closest to him and decaying to a null static at the ends. Skills xxxxxHe has no particular skill that stands out beyond what could be expected from someone with his background either professional education wise or as part of the Brotherhood's combat training.
