Introduction

xxxxxThe Other Mutant 1%er Bike Gang in town, the Swords of Tyr are a striking counter to the more well-known Mongrels. They're a group of mutant white supremacists who do many of the usual 1%er things -- sell drugs, sell weapons, do violence -- but with a side of Master Race Superiority (that master race being white mutants.) They are not a large gang, and the New York Area chapter is their only chapter. Like many 1%er gang they have a nominally democratic hierarchy combined with a violent enforcement OF that hierarchy once it is in place. They do vote on their leader! That leader might then kill you if you disobey.

xxxxxTheir actual home base is in Staten Island, but they frequently piss off other gangs by expanding their business into territory that isn't "theirs". They have a hate-boner for plenty of minorities, and ESPECIALLY hate the Mongrels for going against the grain and being a 1%er group full of women, racial miscegenation, and queerosity.

xxxxxFounded in the wake of Liberty Island, they see themselves as taking up Magneto's cause of mutant supremacy and see absolutely no dissonance about the fact he's Jewish. Possibly they're unaware. Several of them probably desperately want In to the Brotherhood but for mystery reasons, not a single Brother has approached them about recruitment so they don't know where to start and likely never will.

Reputation

xxxxxMost people don't know much about them. They aren't well known In General, but mutants in a certain rougher section of society might have an awareness of who they are, as well as the types of leftists who closely monitor fash activity. They don't have STRONG relations with many other gangs in the area on account of the Mutant thing and don't have strong relations with many other Mutants because of the white supremacist thing, but they do have hesitant/rocky ties with several other fascist groups who occasionally find them to be useful muscle.

Structure

xxxxxThe Sword of Tyr have a fairly typical structure for a 1%er motorcycle group, with officers who at least nominally are elected through regular votes. The Club members most able to intimidate and threaten the others are most likely to win those votes, but, they still have the votes.

Spaces

xxxxxThe Club owns a bar in Eltingville called Huginn’s Perch. It's a great place to get a drink if you are a white supremacist; if you are not you likely won't be welcome and if you are not white at all you will probably come to violence there. They have their meetings in a clubhouse space above the bar.

Roster (all NPCs)
  • Officers:
    • Deep - President, tall blonde who looks like the Platonic Ideal of a Viking, thick beard, long blonde hair. Can transform himself into living sand, likes to do this to flay the skin from his opponents.
    • Mountain, immense wall of muscle over six and a half feet tall, hugely strong not through any quirk of mutation, bald with a ton of Nazi and heathen tattoos. His power is actually a low-grade gravity manipulation that he uses by turns to impede his opponents and allow himself to execute feats of agility that look comically improbable at his size. Vice-president.
    • Ragnar (actually his birth name), Sergeant-at-Arms, second-generation white supremacist heathen and pretty smug about it, about 5'11", broad and muscular with long platinum blond hair. He's a telekinetic.
  • Members:
    • Hurricane, kind of an average looking guy you could mistake for a banker if he were not busy loudly being a Nazi. Has a momentum-based TK power where he can whirl any projectiles that come at him into a sort of personal gravity well/orbit them around him and then fling them back out. It looks badass, it is not very hurricane-like but he won't let that stop him.
    • Brandt, priest of Odin, honestly kind of scrawny next to his towering Viking brethren but a vicious knife fighter. Dark Empath (okay it's regular empathy but also, he's a whole Nazi)
    • Pummel (the name was supposed to be "Pommel", but...), about 6', athletic, with a shaved head and a mix of military and white supremacist tattoos. Got kicked outo of the Marines for being a mutant and then kicked out of Company X for doing too much violence to his co-workers. Strength-speed-stamina type physical mutant.
    • Ernest, used to go by Heimdall as his road name until the trailers for the new Thor movie came out and they had made Heimdall into a darkie. Is currently trying to get people to call him Trigger but in their current single-minded focus on the outrage of a Black cartoon character, many of them are calling him... something else. Just over 6' tall, brown buzz cut, vicious scars along one arm and the side of his face that was in fact from a drunk driving accident in his early 20s but he tells people was from a fight. Makes telekinetic energy constructs, they look ominous and glowy-red, usually uses this for things like heavily armoring himself or making badass looking weapons that are functionally all Some Kinda Mace.
    • Wick, a wiry beanpole of a fascist, short-clipped blonde hair and freckles, gets sunburned in about 3 seconds but hasn't figured out what sunblock is yet. Pretty powerful pyrokinetic and a highly energetic chaos machine.
