She is Hazara, but most Americans have difficulty placing her ethnicity and tend to guess she is Southeast Asian, Latina, or Native. She speaks English with a subtle Persian accent that most Americans also cannot place.

{{Tab}}Known among Prometheans as one of the Blackburn escapees, the only lab to liberate itself, and a steady, hardworking member of their community. Her former labmates (Blackburn and otherwise) remember her from the inside as quiet, reserved, and kind, and the more observant might have noticed she had some skill in managing the staff. At Freaktown she was known as a storyteller and a survivor of Utopia who's pretty handy with a wide variety of maintenance/caretaking tasks, who particularly looked out for young people and Prometheans. Among radical activists of various stripes she is considered an experienced and reliable organizer, even if her specific role beyond handing out food and water at actions can be hard to nail down. At [[Le Bonne Entente]] she is well-liked as the eccentric and competent head groundskeeper with a knack for resolving workplace disputes without resorting to HR. It is widely understood that someone in great distress can often find a cup of tea and a sympathetic ear in her workshop. She is developing a modest reputation among botanical horticulturalists for her success at bringing difficult plants to seed, and therefore frequently invited to rare seed exchanges.

{{Tab}}Piecing together some kind of personal history based on her stories isn't ''impossible'', but it can be kind of surreal. Broadly, most people who know her now can agree she was a refugee from some kind of war in the '70s, ended up on the mutant island nation of Utopia somehow, had some years of weird and wonderful adventures, witnessed the fall of Utopia, got whisked away by witches, did a bunch of Communism, got pregnant, had a son, did a bunch more Communism, got thrown in jail about it, got thrown in Prometheus about ''that'', broke ''out'' of Prometheus, vanished during the COVID pandemic, and then turned up again a couple of years late. The details on all of the above may vary wildly from person to person.

{{Tab}}Anahita has led an extremely disrupted life, travelled much and relied on others little despite her highly communal philosophy, and so has picked up a wide variety of skills. Most of these are quite commonplace, and though she is generally competent she has honed few of them to mastery. Of those that she has honed, probably the most significant is managing men with large egos in such a way that they do not think they are being managed.

She is experienced in both community and activist organizing, which includes coordinating often very disparate and disorganized people, mediating conflicts, public speaking, a wide range of logistics, a wide range of security, and making the most of limited budgets. She has eclectic medical skills, primarily in first aid, herbal medicine, and midwifery. She has a scattering of homesteading skills, knows how to hunt well enough to occasionally supplement but not subsist, and is a decent shot with longarms and bows generally. She is an exceptionally strong swimmer even without her power.

Though she has never received any formal education, she is very keen to learn from the people and circumstances in her life. She is a self-taught horticulturalist, an excellent gardener, and a budding arborist. She has worked with a staggeringly wide range of plants and learns the needs of new ones quickly. She is an avid reader in botany, history, political and economic philosophy, sociology, religion, and hydrology. Dari is her first language, but not having spoken it since early childhood she is very rusty and far more fluent in English. She can speak Mandarin and Spanish reasonably well, and just enough badly accented and ungrammatical Arabic, Russian, and French for basic communication.
