The view from up here is phenomenal, a panorama of the expansive Xavier's grounds, forest and lake and rocky cliffs alike. Even without the view outwards, the rooftop itself holds its own delights, in the form of the tiny jewel of a flower garden tucked away up here, tended by one of the school's teachers. From the edge of the roof, with a veeery careful jump, it looks like it just might be possible to reach the treehouse in the old oak tree. Kurt is alone, crouching towards the ledge of the roof. He's wearing a white t-shirt and dull red shorts that end just above his knees. His tail is resting on the floor for now, though the tip pats the floor absently. His eyes watch the campus below, not paying any focus on one thing in particular. Tabitha still has bruises from the explosions she caused yesterday, but -- she displays them proudly in a tight bright red crop top with spagetti strings, one falling off her shoulder. She still has the same green cargo pants and boots which had remnants of alleyway and convenience store on them. Her boots make her presence clear as she lets out an annoyed scoff at the sight of Kurt, rolling her eyes dramatically. "Come on--dude, this is my hideout spot." She puts her hands on her hips and stands straight. "Get'cher own, I ain't sharing." Kurt hears the sound of Tabitha's boots, although they fade into the backburner of his mind. But, at her voice, he quickly gets on his feet, turning around and raising his hands defensively. "I-I don't want any trouble, really." He squints a little, looking at the other more closely. "Are you Boom-Boom? The Boom-Boom?" His mood shifts from defensive to ecstatic. "I have heard many stories about you!" Tabitha's eyes immediately dart to Kurt's legs. "Woah... the fuck are you?" Her eyes go up, down, up, down. "You got TWO toes, man, what the fuck!" She's loud, but clearly just as thrilled as Kurt about the situation. She bends over to look at his legs, flicking her sunglasses to her head. "Man, the X-Gene really fucked you up, huh? Wh-AND a tail?!" She dips around to get behind him. "Demon tail! And... fur?" Tabitha stands up straight again. "Have you ever shaved? How does that look like?" Kurt's brow furrows deeply at Tabitha's remarks. "I'm a mutant, and there's nothing wrong with my toes." He huffs, tail flickering defensively behind him. "Wh-" He turns behind him to face her. "Can you stop? I'll go, just stop!" A scoff, another roll of her eyes. "Okay! Okay, sorry, Mister McSensitive. Didn't mean to rustle your feathers, or--fur." Tabitha gives him a cheeky grin. "You don't gotta go. I'm a freak too. Well, not that freaky, but -- freak." She strolls towards the ledge, letting out a dramatic sigh. "So, you heard stories 'bout me? What'd they say? Did they make me seem cool?" She seems keen on that last part as she takes a seat for herself. "If they're lame stories they're probably fake." Kurt raises a curious eyebrow at the name she calls him, but decides against bringing it up. He's relieved when she says he can stay, and he moves to sit down next to her. "Most of them are you just blowing things up." He answers honestly. "And how you drove a lot of the teachers here crazy." He smiles a bit at that. "Ohh, yeah -- the teachers fuckin' HATED me. Most of the school did, I mean, like -- 99% of the people here are pompous rich assholes with sticks so far up their ass they got shit in their mouth." Tabitha curls her knees to her chest while she watches the students move like ants below. "I mean, really, I bet they're teachin' you shit like math. What college is gonna accept a mutant like you? They should be teaching you somethin' useful, algebra ain't gonna help you when you're living out there on y'er own lookin' like that. Not that you're bad lookin', Blue." She playfully shoves his shoulder. "I do not think my peers like me much either right now." Kurt admits. "But I deserve it. I-I betrayed their trust, and now I have to earn it back." He purses his lips. Everything she was saying felt right, but, there was a small naïve part of him that resisted that notion. With a deep breath, he begins. "I know that, that right now mutants like me are not very accepted. But I have to hope that in the future, things will change, jah? Cause if I don't, what is the point of it all?" He frowns. "And if in the future things are not different, I will fight so that they are." Tabitha, honestly, was uninterested in what Kurt was saying, paying more attention to the students moving below them. She cuts him off towards the end, slapping his chest to get his attention. "Y'know what I used to love to do up here?" She grins ear to ear. Tabitha cups her hands together, a bright light slipping through the cracks of her fingers before she opens them, revealing a small marble-sized time bomb. Quickly, she cranks her arm back and tosses it as far as possible, watching as it falls onto the grass. A second or so after impact, it explodes, although it just throws some dirt on the students around it. "PERFECT SHOT!" Tabby yells amidst laughing her ass off. She's already cupping her hands to create another one. Kurt watches in awe as she throws the ball on the floor. At the small boom, his eyes widen and he laughs. “That is so cool!” He puts a hand over his eyes to block out the sun and look at the result better. He notices that she’s making another one, smiling wide. “Can I throw one too?” He asks mischievously, fangs clinging onto his lower lip. Tabitha is genuinely shocked at his response. But, she reciprocated his toothy grin with her own. “You gotta do it fast, bombs got a short fuse.” At that, she opens her hands and rolls the small bomb into his. “QUICK!” Kurt’s eyes widen as the ball is rolled into his hands. He doesn’t have time to hesitate, balling his hand into a fist before throwing it as far as possible. It lands right of the previous bomb, and explodes the same as the other. He laughs as he sees dirt go on people. “Did you see that? It went in her mouth!” He snorts. Her eyes are glued onto the bomb, leaning forward with interest. “BOOM!” Tabitha cries out triumphantly at the small explosion. She leans back as she laughs. “Fuckin’ AMAZING, Blue! God -- her FACE! Priceless!” It takes her some time, but she does settle down from her laugh attack. “Ohh, I missed this, man.” She’s slightly out of breathe as she turns to face Kurt. “I think you and I’re gonna get along well.” |
