TRANSCRIPT DATE: [REDACTED] PARTICIPANTS: SUBJECT A, DR. SWANSON, SARGEANT DUCCASOUX [OPENING NOTES: A is a middle-aged (20s-30s) caucasian male with reddish hair of medium build and height. He possesses an extreme form of hemokinesis; his ability is limited to mutant blood, and only when it is exposed and oxygenated (he cannot control it inside of the veins). Interestingly, he seems to be capable of subsisting off a diet of entirely mutant blood; when consuming it, he reportedly experiences a sense of euphoria. When he fails to consume any significant quantity of mutant blood for longer than an hour, he goes into immediate withdrawal. The symptoms observed may be sufficient to kill him after a week. The following is a transcript of an interview taken after three days of no contact with mutant blood.] SWANSON: You look sick. Have you been eating? A: Please. I need it. SWANSON: What is it that you need? A: You know what. Give me some. Just a little. Please. SWANSON: Are you talking about 'blood'? A: I'm fucking dying over here. SWANSON: We've been over this, [REDACTED]. We need to learn your limits. If you can survive without it. [Subject A lunges to his feet, moving toward Doctor Swanson.] A: I /CAN'T/ FUCKING SURVIVE WITHOUT-- [The interview is promptly terminated. It resumes an hour later, with Subject A sitting in his chair, sporting a black eye and several other facial bruises. He has been sedated.] SWANSON: Are you feeling calmer, now? A: Yes, doctor. SWANSON: Good. Now, I want to talk to you about your addiction. A: Okay. SWANSON: What does it feel like? When you're in contact? A: Good. Like, really good. SWANSON: Can you give me an example? A: It's like an orgasm. But it doesn't stop. After a while, you get used to it, and you need s'more, to keep it going. Make it bigger. Never enough. Never fucking enough. SWANSON: What's the most you've ever had? [Subject A shudders in pleasure.] A: Once managed to get ahold of two freaks at once. It was... incredible. Fucking Heaven. I would kill for that again. SWANSON: Interesting. If I agree to discontinue this experiment, would you be willing to submit to a few tests? With your powers? A: Yes. [Subject A is clearly agitated, growing increasingly excited.] A: The furry one. Give me that one. SWANSON: Please calm down. [Subject A draws in a slow breath. His hands are trembling; he has broken out into a sweat.] A: Okay. SWANSON: We have a drug we want to test on you. There might be some dangers-- A: Okay. I'll do it. SWANSON: I haven't told you the symptoms-- A: I'll do it. SWANSON: Alright. [CLOSING NOTES: Obviously, Subject A's addiction makes him easily controlled; he will (quite literally) do /anything/ for his 'fix'. Simply holding the threat of 'cutting him off' over his head is enough to cause immediate complicity. His particular 'need' (mutant blood) also makes him very useful in terms of emergency culling procedures. Highly recommended we put him to use.] |
