Anette figured Pedro might follow her. Emotions might be clouding her thought judgement but not her ability to lose someone tailing her. After nearly an hour of erratic flying, constantly changing altitude, doubling back, and slipping behind skyscrapers, she's certain she's alone. By the time she's finally landed, the sun has set, casting an almost eerie darkness over the street.

She's found herself in a questionable neighborhood, the kind where you pray that sound you heard was a car backfiring. Hence, she spends very little time outside, quickly making her way up to one of the taller buildings. She buzzes herself in and walks up three flights of stairs to a paint-chipped door. She knocks and almost instataneously, it opens, revealing a thin, blonde woman. Her hair is pulled up and teased in a controlled chaos. She wears silver heels, a blue miniskirt, and an extremely low cut white blouse that's tight enough to leave very little to the imagination. At the sight of Anette, she squeals loudly and wraps her arms around the owl woman. Anette merely stands and allows it and it's not until the woman pulls away that she notices the red eyes and drying tears on the owl's face.

"Oh honey, what happened?" the blonde asks, stepping aside to allow Anette in. The apartment makes college dorms look cozy. Very little furniture occupies the studio and what little there is might have been pulled out of Ikea's dumpster. Still Anette makes her way to the couch and sits down, the blonde following and sitting beside her, stretching an arm out and wrapping it about Anette's shoulders. With a sigh, Anette leans over, resting her head the blonde's arm.

"Daken's back," is all she can say. The blonde gasps softly, before frowning softly and leaning forward to kiss the top of Anette's head.

"Fucker. Did you...talk to him?" she asks hesitantly, not sure how to approach the subject. Anette merely nods, sitting up and leaning forward, burying her face in her hands as the tears threaten to re-emerge. The other woman continues to watch Anette with concern, reaching to gently rub Anette's back though she's careful to avoid touching the wings as much as possible. Once Anette regains composure, she lifts her head up, taking a few deep breaths to control herself. Her eyes are shiny though she seems to have avoided breaking down again.

"I don't really want to talk about it. I just...need distraction. You're still using, right Clarissa?" Anette asks softly, looking over the blond woman. She nods, standing up and making her way to the bathroom.

"I thought you quit that shit," she yells as she digs out a steel box from the back of the linen closet.

"I did then I didn't then I did. It goes back and forth," Anette yells back, shifting herself so her back is against the arm, her wings draped over the side. When Clarissa comes back, she sits opposite Anette, setting the box between them. She pops the lid open and stuffed inside are several bags of coke in its various forms. She removes those, revealing the methods for consumption. She takes the glass pipe and hands it to Anette.

"I didn't bring any cash with me...," Anette says, taking the pipe and setting it up.

"Don't worry sweetie, I know you're good for it," Clarissa says, using one hand and her teeth to tie a shoelace around her arm. Anette casually glances up, watching her friend curiously for a moment before speaking up.

"Since when do you shoot up?" Anette asks.

"I do it every once in a while. Just some variety. The high's a bit quicker, too. Why, want to try?" she asks, flexing her arm as she waits for her veins to show. "I can show you. It's a lot easier than it looks."

Anette looks down briefly at the pipe, loaded and ready to go. She presses her lips together and nods, setting the pipe back into the box.
