Introduction xxxxxA shy girl with musical aspirations, Lilia can often be seen performing at small local venues, always dressed fashionably but often with a blindfold on. She can also often be found tending bar at the Green Carnation, and heard spinning bossa nova tracks on Thursday nights (Friday mornings?) at 3am. That last thing doesn't get her as much recognition, somehow. History xxxxxBorn in New Jersey, Lilia's family relocated to France for her father's job when she was six years old. She spent most of the remainder of her school life in Paris, where she also took vocal lessons until they got to be too stressful in addition to school. At the age of 16, her father retired and the family thus returned to New Jersey, where Lilia finished up the last two years of highschool before moving to New York City for college, with hopes to obtain a degree in social work. xxxxxGranted she dropped out after only a few years, but it happens. xxxxxShe lives at the Village Lofts, and these days she splits her time between the occasional singing gig at local bars and coffee shops, tending bar at the Green Carnation, and hosting a weekly, late-night radio show. It's not very popular. Powers xxxxxLilia's power can best be described as a 'sonic scream'; she possesses the ability to make things shatter using the power of her voice. This is limited to hard materials, such as glass, rock, and stone. Metal, however, is mostly beyond her power; for now, her voice can cause metal to vibrate, but not to break. She can also cause the bones of living things to vibrate within their bodies, resulting in physical discomfort or pain, but she cannot shatter bones. xxxxxThe major drawback is that she isn't immune to the power of her own voice, and even when she is holding a note at a frequency that would break glass but not vibrate bone, it's still going to be as loud and painful as it would be to hear any normal person screaming. She has been working on targeted application of her power, focusing on one spot as if speaking through a megaphone in order to limit collateral damage, but this too has seen only limited success. Likewise, prolonged use of her power will eventually result in temporary vocal cord damage; she has a higher threshold for this than normal people, but eventually even she will end up losing her voice for a while if she keeps it up for too long.
