xxxxxVega’s mother was an Australian bikini model, his father in the New Zealand military. Aiden himself was born in the Unites States. On his father's side, Vega is of Māori and Irish descent. His mother was of Scottish and Spanish ancestry. He was raised mostly between New York and Newcastle, Australia. When Aiden was very young, his mother was killed during a home invasion one night. A very unfortunate event for the whole family, but his father was affected the worst…his despair turned very quickly to anger, leading eventually to violence. Vega became the outlet to his father’s violence almost nightly, becoming the victim of many domestic violence issues. This continued for many years, with no signs of stopping…not even when Aiden’s mutant ability manifested...
Aiden, armed suddenly with this power of pain sharing at 12 years old, still would not be relieved of this torment. His father would continue to beat him, the shared pain merely fueling his own rage. As Aiden reached high school years, he spent as much time as he could at school, focusing on his studies as well as extra-curricular activities. He excelled in football and wrestling and got great grades. As soon as he graduated high school, he worked numerous construction jobs in order to pay for his own education at NYU, majoring in construction and economics. After graduating, he left for the Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Lance Corporal within his first tour. Things went downhill for him, however, and by the second year of his second tour, he received a bad conduct discharge after going AWOL on two separate occasions and disobeying an order from a commanding officer. After being tried and convicted under a special court martial, he was sent to a military prison for about three months.
Vega was released from military prison with news that his father had been killed in a bar fight. With nobody to return to, and no place to call home, Aiden wandered the streets of New York, panhandling during the day, and resorting to petty thievery during the night. He was quickly identified and discovered, yet when NYPD tried to apprehend him by force, his mutant ability naturally took over, injuring several officers in the process. He got away from their first encounter...however, two months later, he was cornered by NYPD once more, but this time they used different methods to capture him. Ready to face prison once more, he was confused and surprised when he was sent to a small, dungeon-like room...
He has been captive in this strange fight ring since it began...who knows how long it’s been...three weeks, three months, three years...time means nothing anymore. In the time he has been captured, he has fought for his life in the cage. When he’s not fighting, he eats, sleeps, trains his body...and sits, slowly coming to the conclusion that his life is meaningless…There is no escape, there is no hope…there is no reason to plan for life outside these walls...

xxxxxAiden has the ability to rebound both the mental sensation of pain, as well as any physical wounds that are afflicted upon him by an attacker. This “gift” is passive, unable to be controlled or turned off. It also does not merely transfer the pain; If Aiden is attacked, he will still feel the pain as he normally would. However, his attacker will also feel the pain, and receive a wound equal to the force they have dealt. This power works similar to an electrical circuit; in order for Aiden’s power to activate and affect his attacker, there must be physical contact, either by skin, or even by melee weapon. Because there is no physical connection between ranged attacks (eg. Firearms, thrown weapons, mental attacks), his power would not rebound to his attacker, should they use this method of attack.
