xxxxxDorian was the only child of an upper middle class family who had their sights set of joining the 1. In his family his mother ruled with an iron fist, a well-known divorce attorney in the Boston area who used her wealthy female clients as connections to move up the social ladder. His father was more sedate, a stock broker who hadn't made it huge yet but was already a member of several country clubs, yachting clubs and classic cars groups. It was the love of classic cars that let Dorian
bond with his father. Some of his favorite memories of his time at home were under the hood of some random 60-year-old clunker, trying to work a rusted bolt loose.
xxxxxIt was while working on one of these cars that Dorian discovered his abilities at the age of 13. For several weeks his arms had been aching, but he had put it down to the hard work he had been doing while repairing one of his dads newest toys. While blindly reaching for a specific wrench, Dorian felt a sudden wet feeling in his palm, and within a second he had a shiny new wrench exactly like he wanted. He spent the next 3 years hiding the ability, refusing to use it or explore what it
could do.
xxxxxOn his 16th birthday, his parents put together a huge party, inviting all their clients and coworkers who had kids his age, treating his party as another social ladder climbing event.While resentful at first, when he was presented with a newly restored 1966 Corvette Sting Ray convertible. However, the whispering behind his back by the kids of his parents guests started to get to Dorian, and when one snobby kid kept on harping about the fact that Dorian's parents could only afford a Corvette while he had a brand-new Aston Martin Dorian snapped. Giving the kid a push away from his car, Dorian told him to get lost, but wasn't expecting the kids buddies to instantly jump in and start pummeling him. In a panic to get away, Dorian's power activated and liquid metal pooled out of his hands and formed into a large wrench.
xxxxxNeedless to say, the party ended quickly after this, with cries of mutant and freak from the guests. Dorian's mother blamed him for ruining their family and was in the process of slapping and pushing him towards the door when his father intervened. The two sat down in the garage and a short talk. While his father wasnt hateful against him, he agreed that Dorian wasnt allowed to live with them anymore, nor would they support him. He did let Dorian collect a few things and keep his personal bank account with a few thousand dollars. As he walked towards the door, his father handed him one last thing, the keys to his birthday present. That was the last he saw of his family in person.
xxxxxDorian moved to New York city, found a storage unit and parked his car in it. No way he wanted to risk that being damaged. He spent the new few years getting his GED while working side jobs. Eventually he found his way into construction and surprisingly developed a love for it. Working with the steel while building a new high rise spoke to him, and after a few years he started to experiment with his mutant ability.
xxxxxNowadays Dorian is still working in construction, a senior member that is well liked but doesn't socialize with his coworkers much. On the side, he has become known as a local artist, designing metal sculptures that are getting some recognition in the NYC art scene. He did eventually retrieve his car from storage, and utilizing his ability to generate and shape metal began upgrading and replacing every piece of metal on his car. While it looks the same, the organic steel he exudes is lighter and stronger than anything commercially available, so his car is now much faster than before while also becoming much tougher and more unique.
xxxxxHe has finally saved up enough money to move out of his latest dive apartment into one of the more moderate apartments in the city. Hes still mostly a loner, but is enjoying his simple life and reaching out more. He has yet to knowingly run into another mutant, and hasn't been outed again since he ran away over 20 years ago.

xxxxxDorian is able to generate and control a form of organic steel. This is similar to the metal that Colossus covers himself with. As long as he is touching the metal, it remains fluid and under his complete control. The second he releases it though, it is locked into it's current shape and cannot be altered again by him.
xxxxxWhen he first started experimenting with this ability, he could only generate a couple cups of this metal at once, and it took weeks to refill his internal reservoir. Nowadays is able to handle a couple gallons at once, and it refills within 24 hours.
xxxxxDorian uses his abilities to generate every day objects for his home, as well as his artwork that he sells. Most of his furniture is created this way, and then upholstered if needed. His sculptures are usually of people or animals, done in the style of ancient Greek marble statues.
xxxxxWith all the practice that Dorian has done thru-out the years, he is able to exude his liquid metal very quickly and is very exact to the amount used. Any unused metal he is able to reabsorb, as long as it's shape has not been set by releasing it. The actual exuding doesn't take any effort for him and is actually more of a relief of pressure, since the metal feels like it is held thru-out his body and if he goes more than a week without getting rid of it he feels quite uncomfortable.
xxxxxOnce the metal is exuded, shaping it is based more on his patience and the complexity of what he is creating than any kind of effort. For something very simple like a baseball bat he could have it out and usable within a second. When recreating the parts for his car, the precision required meant it would take anywhere from a minute for a simple side panel to an hour or so for his engine block, due to the very fine tolerances and measurements needed. As long as he doesn't release the metal, it takes no effort to keep it malleable save the fact that he is stuck with a giant glob of liquid metal he has to stay attached to.
xxxxxOther than it's extremely high strength and durability, Dorian's organic steel has no real special properties save one. Since it was not created via the normal method of heating and cooling, it is extremely temperature resistant and so far Dorian has not been able to find a melting point for it.

xxxxxDorian's main skill is construction. After spending over to 15 years on various work crews around NYC, he is skilled in most types of building construction and maintenance. His abilities give him additional tools to work with when dealing with metal, so that is his main specialty.
xxxxxHe is also a very accomplished artist, primarily working with metal thru his power. However years of training with his ability in this area has given him the skills of a sculpter, so he is comfortable working in clay or stone as well.
xxxxxFinally he is a very good mechanic, having trained under his father's expert restorers as a child. Once he retrieved his carfrom storage he spent years upgrading it, learning how to use his powers to replace the metal seamlessly.
