"I mighta skewered ya like a shishkabob"

Location

<XS> Kitchen

The kitchen staff at Xavier's tends well to the needs of its residents. Always cognizant of its students and faculty's dietary needs alike, the menu has a wide variety of choices, and the longtime cook works wonders in the kitchen. The pantry, too, is kept well stocked for those who want to come prepare themselves their own snacks. The shelf, fridge, and freezer space is ample, though if anyone wants to keep their own food there, they'd better make sure it's labeled clearly, and even that is no guarantee it'll last.

It's been a hell of a time getting back to the school, but travelling Halloween weekend makes things so much easier for the blue elf. The cooped up trip is not something the mutant particularly enjoys, his hand clutched onto his rosary nearly the entire time.

Now that he's back home, he's decided it's time to make up for some lost time. In the kitchen, he's attached himself to the roof near the door, his face aimed at the door. His tail holds onto a single paper bowl, filled with whipped cream, and is resting in the stretched bands of a large piece of rubber. His plan was to nail Bobby or even Logan in the face with the cream and has set up notes around the school where they would notice saying, "Free beer in the kitchen. -K"

This elf is in full mischief mode.

Rogue stepped into the kitchen carrying a few bags of items she had just purchased from town. She was going to prepare some treats for her next class. On her way through the school she'd noticed one of these 'free beer' signs and it'd made her narrow her eyes and stare at the note with a large amount of suspicion. She picked up any of the little notes she found and stepped into the kitchen to move toward the counter and set her bags down. "Who's got beer?" Marie asked with a confused look, unaware of Kurt's arrival.

Ororo has had a lot on her plate recently. Somebody needs to set the Halloween atmosphere and there's been no shortage of eerie fogs, Frankenstein-like lightning shows, and cold breezes sending chills down spines. Coupled with the usual tests to grade, clubs to oversee, lessons to plan, and students to advise, it's no wonder that Ororo is on her way to the kitchen for coffee. Dangerously low on caffeine, Ororo hadn't noticed the signs posted, nor anything strange around the door to the kitchen as she makes her way inside, pausing just long enough to allow Rogue to step ahead of her and enter first.

As soon as the door begins to swing open, Kurt's eyes narrow and he grows a devious, jubilant smile as his tail pulls back the missile just a bit further and lets it fly as soon as,

"Nein!" Exclaims Kurt as it's too late and the bowl full of whipped cream sails through the air, straight and true but at the wrong target. The wall crawler freezes and is unable to move watching the horrific act occur in nearly slow motion but he's too stupified to react and just waits for Rogue to scowl at him like a dear caught in headlights.

Rogue turned around with the notes in her hand and having asked the question she was about to look up at Ororo to make her question go to the elder teacher, one of the people she respected most here in-fact... enjoying her Halloween special effects every year since she'd come here.

That's when she's hit in the face with a bowl of whipped cream and her eyes go clamped shut and her mouth clenches up, whipped cream all over her, her black long sleeved turtle neck shirt, her two-toned hair just about everything else on her upper body.

Rogue just stands there, eyes shut... stunned... not knowing what just happened even, but immediately sure she didn't like it.

Ororo mentally wakes up as the cream hits poor Rogue in the face, the weather mutant quickly jumping back to avoid any stray bits of cream. She stares, unable to move as she lets the sight sink it, followed by the German cursing. Before she can help herself, she grins, quickly raising her hand to cover her mouth while she struggles not to laugh at the sight. "Kurt Wagner!" she yells out once the urge to laugh passes, using the German 'V' pronunciation, though there's still a light amusement in her voice. "Are you coming down or do I need to pull you down myself?"

Kurt's tail slowly curls up from his own stunned state and tucks itself between his legs as he flattens himself to he ceiling, obviously afraid for his own safety now. Logan might have been a poor target he realizes but Rogue or any of the Xavier women. They're far scarrier. "Nein fraulien, I think my short life is longer up here." He says, trying not to laugh himself but the sense of fear is overwhelming. "I am so sorry Marie." He whispers, his voice quaking.

Rogue didn't open her eyes until both Ororo and Kurt had spoken. She was still standing there frozen in place with whipped cream bits falling off of her nose and chin down onto what was once a spotlessly clean (and new) top.

Rogue's left eye opened first as she'd been hit on the right side of her face, that eye had made it through mostly uncreamed. She sat the handful of notes down on the counter to her right and then pulled her glove off of her right hand and lifted her bare fingers up to her face where she dabbed some whipped cream up and then placed into her mouth to taste it.

"How lovely." Rogue quietly said a moment later, after removing her fingers from her mouth. "If only you'd waited an hour or so, so I coulda prepared the pumpkin pies I was gonna make." Her voice was soft and quiet, not upset, just... restrained annoyance. "So what, Kurt is drunk or somethin'?"

Ororo gave him a chance. She steps into the kitchen, carefully side-stepping the fallen clumps of cream, to get a better view of Kurt, crossing her arms across her chest as she stares up at him. Her eyes fade to a milky white color as a windstorm forms about the former acrobat, winds on all sides of him with him as the center. "Whenever you're ready," she warns him, the winds getting steadily stronger the longer he clings to the ceiling.

"Nein! Okay okay!" Kurt says, his tone worried as he lets go rather quickly, not putting up a fight and twisting midair to land on his hands and feet, his tail wrapping around his right leg, still obviously afraid. "I am sorry Rogue, it vas meant for Bobby or Logan." He says, looking down, his hand twisting the hem of his plain orange t-shirt, looking more at Ororo than Marie for obvious reasons.

Rogue looked up when Ororo summoned that wind gust to pull the elf down and she smirked when he complied. "Bobby would probably approve. Logan... I'm not to sure about though. But its fine." She said as she walked toward the kitchen sink set into the granite counter top. "Luckily I've had a pretty good day, so my mood is high. If this had happened yesterday, well..." She glanced over at Kurt. "I mighta skewered ya like a shishkabob."

Marie gathered up a towel from off of the counter and she went about wiping her face off. She sighed as she realized she'd need to go change and shower now though, which would set her plans back for the evening.

Looking over at the both of them with her green eyes while she tugged on her hair with the twoel. "So... no beer? Cause now I really need one. Or two." She added with a smirk. "Oh, and... I'm totally gonna get ya back for this, Kurt. So, be a-feared."

The winds disappear as soon as Kurt complies with the command, her eyes returning to their bright blue. "Logan? I hope your teleporting skills are faster than his claws," she says, looking over towards Rogue and smiling once she sees the other begins to relax. "It seems your pranking skills need a tune up. Clearly you've been away too long Kurt," she says, offering the blue one a quick grin as she makes her way over to the coffee machine, pulling out the largest mug she can find in the cabinet and filling it.

Rogue's doing a fantastic job of making Kurt feel more and more guilty for the simple stupid prank. He pushes up with his hands to stand on his two legs and moves closer to Ororo, to whom he whispers loud enough for all to hear. "Save me." Which is followed by. "True, it vas a very lame attempt. I know, but I got to get back to my 'A' game, so I thought I should hit the ground running."

He slowly makes his way over to Rogue and frowns kindly at her, his big yellow eyes afraid to meet her, "I am sorry I got you, can I help you vith dinner maybe?"

Rogue grinned a little at what she heard Ororo tell the Blue Fuzzy Elf and she finishd wiping her hair off though there were still new white streaks mixed in with the ones already there by natural design.

When Kurt approached her and asked her if he could help she set the towel down inside the sink and smiled at him. Her right hand went over to pat his shoulder. "Help me?" She asked. "You're cookin' dinne'ah all on your own, sweetness." She told him with a big smile. Rogue's bare right hand then came back up between she and Kurt's face, but now there were very long and menacing bones protruding from the front of her knuckles. "And Logan ain't the only set'a claws ya bette'ah worry about dodgin'." She leaned her heand forward then to tap the middle claw lightly against Kurt's nosetip.

Ororo leans against the counter, grinning as she watches the interaction between Rogue and Kurt, sipping at her coffee. At Rogue's suggesting that the blue fuzzy one cook, she leans her head back and laughs softly. "Have you ever had Kurt's cooking? That's the cruelest prank yet," she says, offering him a playful wink. She allows Rogue to have her fun, teasing Kurt with her claws for a bit before standing up. "Now now, let's not chase him away. We could use more pranks and fun around here, especially after the past year. Though...perhaps aimed at the correct people next time?"

Kurt visibly swallows at Rogue's display of her newest abilities and actually squeeks in response when she touches his nose. His eyes darting over to Ororo for a moment before going cross again at Rogue's bones. He leans back and nods quickly before suddenly vanishing.

Kurt quickly reappears, the smell of sulfur and smoke fill the kitchen from his teleportation, "I hope you all enjoy bratwurst!" The elf says quickly and happily in a hurry as he quickly begins to scurry about gathering the meat and ingredients from the fridge. At Ororo's mean words he leans back and sticks his tongue out. "Too late she said she wants my cooking." His tail waving like a curious snake, indicating he's excited and happy once more.

When the elf teleported, leaving behind the stank, Rogue's claws shot back into her hand and she sighed heavily. "That never gets easier, smellin' that stuff." She washed her hands off in the sink then and looked back to Ororo. "You're right. I hadn't thoughta that... German food is just about the weirdest food on the planet..." She dried her hands off and then went to put her gloves on again. "I don't even know what a 'brautwurst' is!" The young newly appointed music teacher went to her grocery bags and began to unpack them to put the items she'd purchased into a specific place that she hoped nobody would mess with them, so much so that she had made labels but she'd left them in her room.

"God help us all if he starts doin' German dances'n stuff at dinne'ah too."

"Let's not break into polka in the middle of dinner," Ororo agrees. As Kurt begins to prepare his ingredients, she dramatically sighs and shakes her head. "I'll let the infirmary know who's cooking tonight," she says, reaching for some sugar and eyeballing a few tablespoons into her coffee. "Though I haven't had a good bratwurst in long time," she eventually settles.

"This is a great idea! I vill go fetch my lederhosen and teach you all about Ocktoberfest!" Kurt says as if it really was a good idea smiling happily towards Ororo, but then lowering his face and attitude to a more civil tone. "Or maybe I vont and ve can just be friends, though today is all saints day, and ve should remember those influential people in the vorld." Kurt nods solemnly.

"That's the spirit Oro!" Kurt says, pulling a packet of premade that have been in the fridge for a time and showing them to Rogue before tossing them into the empty sink to thaw. "Those are cheap brats, but they'll have to do. Like better franks or vhatever you americans call hot dogs." He says with a playful laugh.

Rogue laughed softly at the infirmary part from Ororo and then finished putting her stuff away in places on the counter and she rolled the cloth bags up against her stomach while turning to regard Kurt and listen to his explanation of that food. "Hot dogs huh..." She said, not sounding convinced. "So they're made outta what?" She asked.

"Some kinda stomach, I'm guessin'. Seems like every country out there makes all their food outta somethin's -stomach-, blegh!" She stuck her tongue out after saying that to emphasize her words, another piece of whipped cream fell down off of her head then and landed on said tongue.

Rogue reached her hand up to wipe her tongue on the bag. "Ewww! Hair whipped cream!"

"I'm sure some cultures vould even eat vith your stomach." He says, poking Rogue's belly with his tail as he fills the sink up with cool water, to let the packets of brats thaw. Then he turns back towards the fridge and starts gathering some other essentials.

"Vould you rather cook, Storm?" He asks, calling her by her codename on purpose and leveling his kind eyes at her, inviting her to work instead, teasingly of course, but he goes on to explain bratwursts a bit, "The good ones are actually the bits of the meat you don't normally eat, stuffed into the intestines. I think. It's been a long time since I've had home made wursts."

"Intestines I believe," Ororo says quietly, watching Rogue as she begins freaking out about various foreign delicacies. "I do remember a student who had a particular fondness for haggis," she does admit, cringing a bit at the words. She glances over towards Kurt and offers him a smile as he suggests teaching about Oktoberfest. "Only if you're willing to sit through my attempts at traditional Egyptian dance and food."

Rogue huffed when she felt the tail touch her stomach through her cream covered shirt and she lowered the bags and tossed them at Kurt. "Don't know what Haggis is neithe'ah n'I don't wanna know!" She exhaled heavily then and went to the fridge to grab a bottled water. "I'm gonna go clean up and come back down t'make stuff. And maybe put in for a pizza delivery if what I see when I come back looks more like special effects from a zombie movie than it does an edible meal."

Rogue moved toward the door, uncapping her water. "Boy I look forward to hittin' Kurt with a whipped cream pie though. Thats gonna be a sweet sweet sight."

Ororo takes another large gulp of her coffee. "As long as we don't get any faculty or students from Scotland, I wouldn't worry about it," she says, leaning up off the counter. As Rogue threatens Kurt once more, she smirks and offers the other woman an understanding nod. "Let me know if you need any help." Whatever she can or would add to the prank goes unsaid. She turns back to Kurt and points an accusing finger. "You can try your hand at whatever you like but I swear if you make sauerkraut, your room will be in monsoon season."

Kurt lowers his shoulders as Rogue leaves the room and then turns his attention back to Ororo. "I'm not sure vhat haggis is either." Whispers the german mutant leaning back into the fridge with a grin. "Is she really gonna hit me?" He asks innocently Kurt asks before tilting his head at Ororo, "You're going to help her? I didn't get you at least..." He says with a frown before turning his head back towards the fridge and the sound of something being put back onto a shelf is heard in the then silent room. "I vould never do that to you."

Rogue laughed at Ororo's offer as she stepped out into the hallway. "Oh. I might just get Logan'n Bobby involved too, since he spilled the beans on who his original targets were." Rogue waggled her gloved left fingers at the elf then. "Watch yourself, Smelly." She told him before disappearing into the rest of the school, sounds of students laughing at her for having whip cream all over her, and the sounds of Rogue chasing them as a result of said teasing!
