Ghost, Rasa

In Absentia

2014-01-09

Ghost bears the brunt of her first dissatisfied reader.

Location

<XS> Great Hall

The largest room at Xavier's, the Great Hall is designed to hold all of the mansion's residents and then some. Built for the mansion's bigger functions, it serves as the school's dining halls on ordinary days, and ballroom when needed. On school days, long trestle tables stretch across the hall, high-backed chairs with plush cushions offering seating for the students.

As the days slowly grow warmer, temperatures in the forties and fifties predicted for the weekend(!), some of the life is starting to return to the student body, sunny skies at least infusing them with a little more positivity. It is much needed, as the teenagers have been dragging lately, what with the loss of a beloved teacher, his sons, and his very much appreciated baked goods. Rasa is one of those feeling the loss quite keenly, the normally vibrant teen still sporting gray colors of depression, albeit now with a few splashes of color, today's are aquamarine, in hir hair and in various spots on hir skin. Hir clothes are the basic student issued athletic gear, sweat pants and shirt in navy and gray, sporting the Xavier's logo. Ze makes hir way through line quietly, hir tail shifting side to side idly, grabbing up a couple sandwiches and a bowl/mug of vegetable broth soup, before heading to the beverage line.

Passing into the line behind Rasa, Ghost is dressed in a gray XS tanktop that meshes nicely with her purple skin, a pair of baggy jeans, and barefoot (as usual). Ghost also has a gloomy mood to her, though as she doesn't have coloring to show this, it instead is showing on her face, pretty much a frown. Spotting Rasa as she grabs a bag of chips and a sandwich, Ghost calls over to her from behind. "Hey, you've seen the twins lately? I haven't seen them around the school. Been meaning to thank Shane again for help on my article."

Rasa turns and stares at Ghost, hir expression growing physically darker as hir eyes start to narrow on the other teen. "You know what? No. I haven't seen them. And if I had, I wouldn't tell you. Your article sucked, by the way. It's just painfully lucky it stumbled on an accurate topic." Ze grits hir teeth as ze returns to what ze is doing, setting hir tray down heavily next to the beverages and filling a large glass with milk. That is very nearly slammed on the tray surface before ze turns to look for a place to sit.

"Woah, chill out. What's your problem?". Ghost is completely flabbergasted by Rasa's outburst, as she pours herself some juice. "Did I do something in a past life to anger you or something? Jesus christ." Ghost bites her lip, looking around the hall as well. "It was just a question."

"Past life? Are you deficient?" Rasa growls, violent, lime green starting to streak hir face. "You wrote an article that called my boyfriend a bully. You wrote about a situation that you were not there for and no one seemed willing to give you the other side of and, yes, while the administration botched the hell out of the punishment and severely hurt Sebastian, you still painted Ivan as a jerk who was intentionally attacking me and Shane." The corner of hir left eye twitches. "That's shitty journalism. It's also pretty obnoxious that you didn't publish until /after/ Ivan got called back home to Russia by his parents, but I guess that's also a small blessing, because now he doesn't have to deal with all the shit you stirred up."

"You know what? I don't need to fucking deal with this. I did my job. I got the story out there. Sorry that you've read so deeply into this, I guess everyone reads things differently.". Ghost's face is pretty much disgusted with Rasa, as once she has her tray complete, she's heading towards the back porch. "You know what, I don't need your help anyways. Just, fuck you.".

"You didn't do your job. You did half of it." Rasa shouts after Ghost, turning and walking off long before Ghost finishes assembling her tray.
