<NYC> Toru's Apartment

Being an early riser doesn't stop just because you're in a strange apartment. Even as the sun is still rosy-grey pre-dawn, Trib was up and moving quietly around Toru's place, leaving the teenager to sleep like a log on the couch. Mostly, the big man has been cleaning up the remnants of the meal from last night, and helping himself to another can of Coke from the fridge before taking care of other, more personal pressing business.

By the time Toru finally comes around, Trib has given up on waiting for him and begun his (modified-for-strange-place) workout. He is currently stretched out, facedown and shirtless, on Toru's floor, palms flat against the wood in the classic push up position. There's no telling how long he's been doing them, but his back glistens with sweat, and his hair hangs damply around his face. The only sound in the still apartment is the whoof-chuff of Trib's steady, heavy breathing. He seems very focused.

Apparently, even being shifted around so that Trib can get up isn't enough to wake Toru; he'd have mumbled a little when it happened, but otherwise just rolled onto his side, facing towards the back of the couch and burrowing into it with a grunt. When he does finally wake up, he rolls onto his back, stretching his arms and legs and yawning a bit, staring up at the ceiling quietly for a minute before remembering he's got a /visitor/. He even rolls over to watch Trib for a minute, but that minute doesn't last long once he realizes he should /probably/ hit the bathroom.

While he's fully aware Trib will probably notice him, he nonetheless does his best not to disturb the man's routine as he creeps around the fridge and down the short hall to the bathroom, closing the door gently behind himself while he takes care of business. He's only in there for a brief minute before the shower starts running.

When there's movement on the couch, Trib's head definitely tilts so that he can peer at the sleepy Toru through the curtain of his damp hair. There's a small crinkling of his eyes that's probably hard to see, but he doesn't break the rhythm of his breathing to offer any greeting. His head does swivel, though to keep the younger man in his line of sight. When the bathroom door closes, he drops his head again, and continues for a few more minutes before he finally lowers himself to the floor, breathing heavily.

When Toru emerges from the bathroom, he'll find Trib still laid out on the floor, although he's rolled to his back, and has his fingers laced (more or less) across his chest. He's staring at the ceiling with a thoughtful expression, his thumbs drumming lightly on his sternum. Still sweaty-looking, he doesn't seem /worn out/ by his exertion.

Toru actually emerges from the bathroom twice; once to stand in the hallway just long enough to find himself a change of clothes, returning to the bathroom to get changed, leaving the previous day's clothes in a basket in there, before emerging /again/. His hair's on the damp side but /mostly/ dry, and he's changed into a new pair of gray cargo shorts, a plain black t-shirt, and a pair of black opera gloves that come up to his elbows. Because he's just that stylish.

On his way back out to the living room, he actually just about /skips/ a bit, almost like he's playing hopscotch, before dropping facedown to the floor a foot or so away from Trib. Arms folded, he rests his head on them and looks over at the boxer with a little smile. "If you need a shower, there should still be hot water. I guess I prob'ly shoulda said somethin' before about stayin' so you could bring stuff, I wasn't really thinkin' about the whole morning exercise thing.."

Trib turns his head when Toru emerges the first time, and while his lips /purse/, no actual whistle actual comes out. Still, his attention is focused in that direction, so he doesn't miss the second emergence, this time offering a wide grin. He shows actual teeth when the other man /skips/, and plunks down beside him. "Don't worry about it," he rumbles, rolling to his side and supporting his head with his hand. "I've worn funky underpants before; one more time ain't gonna kill me." He stretches a bit at the idea of a shower, though, and he rolls forward, onto his knees, so he can plant a kiss on Toru's cheek. He doesn't really /reek/, although he does smell sweaty. "I'll just know for next time."

Toru grins a little goofily at that kiss, lifting his head a little so that he can run a hand over his hair, sending a light spray of water onto the floor in front of him, and shakes his head a few times. "Yeah, I mean, I didn't figure it'd be a /problem/ or nothin', I just..." That hand is waved, vaguely. "...like what I was sayin' last night about how I'm ok with stuff we've already done, I kinda assumed you'd figure that and... well, anyway." Coughing into his fist, he lowers his head again, edging just a bit closer to Trib. "I figured you prob'ly wouldn't wanna get your shirt all sweaty if nothin' else. Showerin's pretty much the first thing I do after a delivery shift 'cause of that."

Trib smiles a bit wickedly at that sudden cough, and leans to brush his lips againt Toru's ear. "If you wanted me to join you in there, you should have said," he teases, planting another soft kiss there before skimming his hand down the man's spine and patting him lightly on the rump in a swat. "'swhy I took my shirt off," he says as Toru shifts closer. "I sweat somethin' fierce when I'm workin' out." His grin slips a bit lopsided, and he lifts a shoulder. "So I hope you like the way I smell, 'cause when I start trainin' full-time, I'll smell like this a /lot/."

Shower remark results in Toru blushing bright red and giving Trib such a /shove/, shaking his head a few rapid times. "H--hey!" On his side now, he's splayed out a bit like a cat, one arm stretched out under his head, the other lingering at Trib's ribs and just sort of tapping at the floor by them, for the moment. He decides, however, /not/ to address the remark beyond that, and just smoothly segues on to the rest of Trib's commentary. "Well, seein' as how I spent two nights so far this week sleepin' with a /guy/, I'd say I'm pretty adaptable." He nods firmly, there, and that hand moves up to brush at Trib's hair, tucking a bit of it behind his ear. "So when /that/ happens... we'll just hang out at your place instead," he teases. "Save me money on air fresheners."

Trib smirks, and rolls with the shove, coming back into place almost immediately. He spares Toru further shower remarks, and instead watches him as he speaks. He tilts his head when that hand hits his ear, and his eyelids drop to half-mast, giving a lazy cast to the warm smile working its way across his face. "I like sleepin' with you," he rumbles, a bit of color blooming in his ears. "It ain't all awkward and uncomfortable." Probably because Toru is a rag doll when he's sleeping, but he doesn't mention that. "You'll get used to the smell," he predicts, when Toru comes up with Plan B. He reaches out to dig a finger in Toru's side playfully. "You'll miss my stink, when it ain't around." He flaps his arm like a chicken wing, grinning widely. "That's fuckin'...whatayacallit.../ambrosia/."

"Yeah, maybe," Toru nods, playing it a little cool for the moment, though he really can't stop a smile from creeping its way across his face. "Y'know it's kinda weird." Scooting in a bit closer, he slides his arms around Trib's neck, linking his hands together loosely on the other side. He doesn't move in for a kiss, just yet, instead resting his head between Trib's, and the floor. Apparently he doesn't care much about the sweat anymore, either, since he's just about rubbing up against it now. "I don't get why it is but since gettin' outta school you're pretty much the only dude I've liked bein' around anyway. I mean basically every other guy I hang out with is either all like... boring or annoyin' or somethin'. Assholes are more fun to shoot the shit with but somehow I don't run into a lot."

When Toru shifts closer, Trib's own smile drops from wide grin into something a bit softer and warmer. "I know what you mean," he says, wrinkling his nose a bit. His free hand comes up to rest lightly on Toru's ribcage, his thumb sliding along the bones there. "I know a bunch of people, but I can count on my right hand the people I'd care to spend any kind of time with." He grins, and shrugs his shoulder. "Or maybe that's the people who can put up with /me/." His thumb presses into the space between ribs in a gentle probe, and the big man's smile tilts playfully. "That's the tricky thing about bein' an asshole. You can't never be sure about that shit."

"That thought did come to mind," Toru nods, thoughtfully. The rib poke results in a bit of a half-cringe, Toru biting his tongue to keep from /giggling/, dropping a hand to swat gently at Trib's. That arm then drops to loop around Trib's arm, gripping it in a possessive hold. "I mean, I dunno /why/, but I know I ain't the easiest guy to hang around. People prob'ly jealous of how great I am, I dunno." He's joking, of course. Probably. "There's a problem I'm seein' as it's gonna come up sometime, though," and here he gets a bit of a thoughtful look, pulling his head back just enough so that he can look Trib in the eye. "Cause you're like twice my size, so it kinda stands to reason you're twice as much of an asshole I am, and I dunno how I feel about not bein' able to push you around." For this one he does try to make it clear that he's at least /mostly/ joking, with a little grin at the end of the remark though he's still curiously watching for the reaction.

"Oh, I'm a huge asshole," Trib admits. "I'm sure I piss off people on a regular basis." He doesn't seem overly bothered by that fact, adding. "They just don't like how honest I am. I guess bein' big, scary, /an'/ honest is too much for 'em." He lifts his eyebrows at the smaller man, and lifts a shoulder. This may or may not be enough to lift Toru; it certainly joggles him a bit. The idea of the future problem gets a long, slow blink, and Trib exhales thorugh his nose in an almost-laugh. "Okay." He grins. "How about once a month, you can push me around all you want?" is a fair offer. You can tell by how (overly)(maybe a bit mockingly) earnest Trib looks.

Toru isn't quite gripping hard enough to be lifted when Trib shifts; he actually releases the grip when Trib moves, just to keep from being lifted, but instead tucks himself in underneath Trib in the space created by that movement, arms wrapping around to hug him firmly. "Mm. That could work out." He does sound a /bit/ on the genuinely thoughtful side, actually, though for the moment he's focused on getting himself comfortable... which apparently also involves crushing himself between a metaphorical rock and a hard place. It takes all kinds? "I /am/ a little worried about, uh. I guess not really /that/ but like... I guess 'cause I dunno about /you/ but I got a bad temper sometimes, and I think I'm doin' that thing again, tryin' to ruin stuff. With my brain. Before it happens."

Trib grunts a contented sort of sound when Toru's arms wrap around him, and he drops his arm to wrap it around the smaller man's back. "Bones." It's the same sort of firm tone that was used last night. "Stop tryin' to cross bridges we ain't come to, yet." He wrinkles his nose. "I know you're new to all of this shit, but it's still the same, even when it's two guys. Datin' is for /learnin'/ all that stuff."

"Well, when it's me and a girl there's usually less /talkin'/ involved," Toru grumbles, however good-naturedly. "This is why you can't get me comfortable enough that I wanna /talk/ atcha, 'cause then I pretty much just start... talkin' 'bout everything that's on my mind." He shakes his head a few times, turning it to kiss the side of Trib's neck, which is is followed then by a brief burst of shorter kisses along the front, ending at his throat. "Before I go gettin' all uh..." He lowers his eyes, clearing his throat a few times. "...you hungry? I mean, you gotta eat a lot on accounta the working out and stuff, right?"

Trib chuckles at the grumbling, and his hand slides up to the nape of Toru's neck, fingers playing idly with the damp hair there. "I like listenin' to you talk," he rumbles. "When you're makin' sense, I mean. Keeps me from havin' to do it." He grins, and whatever he might say after that is lost in a surprised sort of groan as lips find his neck, and he tips his head back as his eyes flutter closed. When they stop, they slide back open, stopping halfway when Toru mentions being hungry. He definitely /looks/ hungry. Especially when he suddenly wraps his arms around Toru and rolls so that the smaller man is trapped between him and the floor more than he was. "Bones," he rumbles, lowering his mouth to breathe the words into Toru's lips. "I like hearin' you talk, but shut the fuck up for two minutes." Then his lips land on Toru's in a deep, probing kiss that comes with enough body contact to ensure Toru's sweat-free status is ruined.

Tensing for /just/ a second when Trib rolls onto him, Toru nonetheless calms down quickly enough once he realizes what's going on. And then he's all but putty in Trib's hands, grinning quietly up at the boxer when he gives that little command. Arms move up, one wrapping around Trib's shoulders, the other gloved hand tangling fingers into Trib's hair, gripping maybe a bit more firmly than he had before. The kiss is met with a low growl from the smaller man, holding Trib's mouth against his, and his lips do part enough for his tongue to probe out a little, cautiously, and Toru actually does what he's told and shuts up for once.

The brush of tongue gets a low hum from Trib, and the big man parts his lips, his own tongue wrestling with the tentative invader. Trib's breathing quickens, and a small shudder works its way through his frame like a seismic roll that ends in his hips. A fact that he seems aware of, as he shifts his weight to avoid that particular pressing. He doesn't abandon the kiss; if anything it deepens further, and the grip on the nape of Toru's neck tightens gently. He doesn't look like he plans on stopping, although he does occasionally allow Toru to breathe when he leaves those lips and moves to nibble lightly at the curve of the teen's throat.

That movement may result in Trib noticing that the lower half of Toru's torso is a bit oddly /stiff/. Bonelike, even. But whether Toru's aware of that or not, he's apparently not perturbed; there's just not so much leg movement on his part. He /does/, however, take the opportunity offered by Trib's pauses to breathe heavily, his chest heaving a little bit, head tilted back both to make catching his breath easier and to give Trib easier access to his throat. Grinning a little, he slides one hand down Trib's back, leaving his hair unmolested for now, just drawing stray lines along his skin. Between breaths he mumbles, "You're fuckin' killin' me, here," but that doesn't stop him from tilting his head down to resume the kissing.

Trib smiles against the skin of Toru's throat, and rumbles his words there in a soft vibration. "Damn. You figured out my plan." His lips trail up to meet Toru's mouth hungrily, even as his left hand comes free, sliding around Toru's torso and working its way up under the fabric of his t-shirt. Rough fingers stroke along the smooth skin, his hand traveling upwards to rake his thumb over the younger man's nipple briefly. His own skin ripples like a cat's under Toru's fingers, and his hips flex in an involuntary motion that coincides with the growl that rumbles from his throat and into Toru's.

Under Toru's shirt, Trib may actually feel some narrow scarring along his ribs, on Toru's right (and, consequently, Trib's left). Toru doesn't object to the skin contact, even letting out just a slight whimper when he feels that /thumb/... and it is at that point that he panics, a little bit, his arms pulling away a bit abruptly, and while he does move to pull away, he's trying just as hard /not/ to... consequently, one hand comes back up stiffly, brushing through Trib's hair, the other pawing backwards to pull him /away/, and he pulls away from the kiss long enough to murmur, "Trib, maybe.." And another kiss, there. "Maybe we should stop--" But he keeps punctuating those pauses with short, frantic kisses. "Trib.."

It is the slow moving of the mountain getting Trib to stop, with Toru's heated skin under his fingers and the taste of his lips /right there/. But he rumbles something like agreement, and he pulls back, leaning in to keep abetting those kisses even as he protests them. "You said." Kiss. "Stop." Kiss. "I'm gonna. Stop." His face is flushed when he finally forces his arms to let go and puts his palms against the floor. Then, with deep exhalation, he pushes up to his knees and rocks back on his heels, straddling Toru and looking down at him with smoky amber eyes. His mouth hangs open, slightly, which is probably to help the bellows of his chest as it pumps cool air into his clearly overheated body. He's even sweating again.

"I'm sorry, man," Toru gasps, letting his one hand relax on the floor, the other hand resting on his chest as he catches his breath, eyes closed as he shakes his head a few times. "I don't mean to... but then you get all... y'know..." Face reddening a little, he moves the hand from his chest to shield his eyes as he looks up to Trib. "...I mean I'm not sayin' it's all your /fault/ or nothin', 'cause I kinda get all y'know /too/..." He manages a grin at that, runs his hand through his hair, and drops the arm to the floor, splayed out at an awkward angle. "It's just like... if you were me and I was a broad doin' this I'd probably have beat the shit outta me by now, you gotta lotta patience."

"Don't fuckin' apologize," Trib grunts, his brow lowering. "I shouldn't have pushed it like that." He exhales another, shaky breath, and reaches up to rub his left hand over his eyes. "I just...you just looked..." he uncovers his eyes to wave at the air as he pushes to his feet fully. There's a careful plucking at his shorts, and he reddens a bit. When Toru posits his theory, though, Trib freeze, and his brow slams down HARD. "You'd fuckin' beat up a woman 'cause she wouldn't put out?" he asks, tilting his head as if he misheard the smaller man. "After two makeout sessions?"

Tensing up a little, the color all but rushes out of Toru's face at that last question. He gulps a little, shaking his head a few times. "Well I don't mean like-- I'm exaggerating." He lifts his hands up, palms facing outward, in defensive posture, and actually does look pretty scared. "I d-don't mean like-- I said I gotta short temper, y'know? There's just kinda-- I guess a couple times I mighta like-- I never like left any /bruises/ or nothin'." Conflicted now between being /honest/ and trying to save face, he's just sort of stammering blindly, pulling himself up to sitting upright, but he's not going to get up any further from there. "I don't know why I even said it, I ain't even done it for a while I just... when I get frustrated I get... I gotta short /temper/."

Trib is clearly conflicted by this information, and his mouth presses tight as he begins to pace a bit. He doesn't speak for a long time, although the grinding of his jaw is audible. He stops a couple of times, looking at Toru with an expression that can only be called a helpless GLARE. Once, it looks like he might actually speak, but his mouth clamps shut again as he resumes pacing. Then he's turning sharply, and bringing up a finger to level at the teenager. Only to let it fall again with a small, confused shake of his head. Finally: "I ain't sure what to do here," he says in a dark, hurt tone. "You're askin' me to give you somethin' you ain't give to others. An' you hit fuckin' women. 'Cause you got a /short temper/." He waves a hand in the air before whipping it to his scalp to tug at his hear. "What the fuck am I supposed to /do/ with all of that?"

To his vague credit, Toru has the good sense to stop talking while Trib is trying to process that information, but he does otherwise present a pretty pathetic picture - sittiing on the floor with his knees pulled up to his chest, arms wrapped around them, and doing his best not to make eye contact. "I don't... It ain't like I do it like, all the time, I don't go /lookin'/ for girls to hit--" He bites the inside of his cheeks, shaking his head a few times. "--and I ain't exactly-- like, I don't... I guess I never really /thought/ about it before. I was a dumb /kid/, man, I dunno I guess I didn't fucking /know/ any better or somethin'-- and it ain't like I'd hit /you/." Hesitantly, there, he pushes himself to his feet, but even then he stands against a bare wall, gaze firmly set on Trib's feet. "I don't know what you're supposed to /do/ with that, I'd /like/ it if you'd remember you knew I wasn't a nice guy when you asked me out in the first place."

"Damn right, you won't hit me," Trib says, unable to stop the laugh that comment brings. "It'd be a pretty stupid fuckin' idea, an' you're kind of full of those." He advances on the smaller man, putting his hand against the wall near his head, splaying his fingers. With his other hand, he rubs at his jaw briefly while he regards the smaller man. Weighing something, or maybe actually complying with Toru's request. Could be either. "That shit /stops/," he says in a tone that says it's not up for negotiation. "Unless you're actively fuckin' defendin' yourself. Understand?" He lifts his eyebrows pointedly, and jerks his chin to his chest. "I'll put up with a lot of shit from you, Bones, but that ain't a thing I want folks to say about my b --" he grimaces, and waves his hand from Toru's head to his feet. "You."

Letting out an audible sigh of relief, Toru is finally able to breathe properly again, possibly not even having noticed that he'd been all but holding his breath before. Actually panting for a second, his hands rest against the wall behind him for the moment, opting for the moment to err on the side of restraint, but he is finally able to look Trib in the eye again. "Yeah, I understand... it ain't like I made plans /anyway/," he points out, with a cautious half-smile. "...but I should be able to manage that." He brushes a hand through his hair, both checking how wet it is and squeezing a little bit of moisture out of the chunk he'd grabbed. "So, uh, we were talking about breakfast, yeah? I mean I won't blame you if you wanna fuck off without me but I could probably go for a hash brown."

"Well, I'm just making sure," Trib says, pulling back to look down at Toru carefully. "I figure we're both gonna have to lay down rules, as we go along." He studies the smaller man for a long moment, and his lips quirk into a rueful half-smile at the sudden change in topic. "I gotta take a shower," he says, raising a finger to tap it against Toru's chest meaningfully. "Before we go anywhere." He turns and begins heading for the bathroom, shucking his shorts in the hallway before he disappears into the bathroom. The door is not shut completely, and after the shower starts, one meaty arm pokes from the crack in the door, waving a pair of blue briefs like a flag before they're dropped. It might be a tease; it might just be where Trib is dumping his clothes. Might be bait. No answer comes from the bathroom, whose door remains cracked.

"I guess that's fair," Toru murmurs, nodding in regards to that comment about rules. If nothing else, he at least seems to be feeling repentant enough over his past misdeeds. When Trib mentions a shower, Toru vaguely gestures in the direction of the bathroom - realizing that Trib is already aware of where it is - and finding himself a pair of socks to slip on before they leave. The /bait/, as tempting as it is, is eyed with a bit of a grin, and while he /does/ approach the bathroom door, ultimately he stops in the hallway to gather up the shorts and briefs, folding them up all nice and setting them on an empty shelf somewhere near Trib's eye-level. The bahroom door is given a sharp knock and he calls out, "Nice try! Maybe next time." And once everything is all arranged and in place, he strolls back to the couch and pulls out his phone, killing the time with Angry Birds.
