Mutant powers are pretty unknown and individual, and there's not exactly any kind of /test/ they can do to ascertain, yes, this will be here forever. I mean, even in completely everyday normal human things oftentimes doctors can't tell you that with any certainty. It seems vanishingly unlikely that a brand-new aspect of a mutant power is something that someone would be like 'Yep this will definitely be permanent' rather than 'Huh, that's curious, let's wait and see what happens/see if you'll be able to control it/etc.' --Borg (talk) 00:24, 13 December 2013 (EST)

**Heya - this is actually an excellent point. In looking it over again, I realize what I /meant/ to say was that the effect was 'benign' as opposed to permanent. Because I feel like Hank could see over the course of a couple days if it's actually hurting Aloke. But you're absolutely right - measuring for permanence is basically impossible in this time frame. I'll check with Shane and Ghost about retconning some of this. --Laser (talk) 13 December 2013

  • In all fairness, I am legitimately curious how Hank could make a determination in the span of two days that something was permanent, even if you OOCly know that it will be.
    • Heya - this is actually an excellent point.
