<XS> Jeremy and Shane's Dorm - FL2 | |
A standard, if comfortable, dorm room. Two beds, two closets, two desks, two dressers. There is a knock at the door, timid at first, and then a little louder, a moment later, as if the knocker was concerned the first attempt was not loud enough. Standing outside is one Missy Thorpe. Her blonde hair is pulled back in ringlet pig tails, her shirt is a white and blue striped blouse, all of the stripes on a diagonal, architecturally set to emphasize her waist and breasts. Below the peplum waist is a pair of black skinny jeans over a pair of ankle boots with a 'sensible' three inch heels. She is standing beside a large trunk with wheels on one end, making it slightly easier to move. "Um, I'm looking for Shane. I apologize if I am bothering someone else. I know this is the boy's dorm... so if he's not there I should probably clear out. Can I leave some stuff inside?" The door cracks open, one enormous jet-black eye peering out. Then pulls open wider on a tiny blue shark, looking a little wary and more than a little tired, dressed in plain black tee and jeans. "/Missy/?" Shane sounds rather startled. "I mean yeah this is -- B's down the /hall/, I -- /Missy/?" The second time it's more puzzled than surprised. "Stuff what -- huh?" Blinkblinkblink. He looks from her to the trunk and back. "You're too old to move into the dorms." "Oh, I'm not moving in, silly. I'm making a delivery." Missy's hand slide up to her waist as she smiles at the tiny shark guy. "It's been a while. I hope it's okay that I make this delivery. I figured that I'd be a welcome messenger, but Daiki's totally on board too, if you'd prefer. Though, honestly, I think you two would get far too distracted with, well, cute stuff to really even acknowledge the fact that there is actually some stuff in this trunk for you." She pauses and peeks over Shane's shoulder. "So, can I come in or should I send the more attractive one?" "A delivery?" This doesn't make Shane any less puzzled, but he does take a step back, slowly pulling his door open wider. "You /are/ pretty attractive," he allows with a quick crooked grin, though it soon fades. "Why is there stuff in that trunk for me?" His teeth press down against his lip, brows rumpling together. "Dai's on board with what? You starting a delivery service?" "Well, yeah. It's not a real delivery service. It's more of a 'raid the pantry' delivery." Missy grabs the handle of her trunk and starts to drag it into the dorm room. "Well, Daiki told us back at headquarters about what happened to your wardrobe, so we though, you know, as a clothing company, we could do something about that. So, we raided the - okay, it was more like we took a lot of fabric off the bolts and started sewing stuff for you and your family. We hope you like it. We know it's hard as hell to find stuff your size anyway." She opens the trunk, revealing the first layer of suits. Shane's eyes open wide. And then wider, and then wider; it's kind of /eerie/ really, by the time they're done dominating his narrow features there is entirely more /eye/ there than there has any right to be, just enormous pools of pitch-black that don't actually have much anime-cuteness about them. Just kind of huge demon-blackness. He looks down at the suits, his hands lifting to clap over his mouth. There's a long stretch of silence while his gills rapidly flutter. "Did -- Did Eli --" he finally manages. "Did Eli what? Help? Yes. He's still keeping his distance, though. I think we all hope that you're not bothered by his involvement, but Dai and I hope that you'll still consider it, as something from us." Missy moves over to sit on one of the desk chairs, giving Shane a few minutes to digest. Shane's fingers stay pressed to his lips, eyes shining bright. His gills flutter again. He drops to his knees by the trunk, reaching out now to slowly start rifling through the clothing inside. And, quieter: "-- Is he doing okay?" "Oh, well, about the same as usual." Missy adds, quietly. "Since he left Manhattan, he's mostly kept to himself. I think he does most of his communication through his work these days, but I am ever the dreamer. It's why they have me doing most of the face work and PR." She grins at Shane, giving him a little wink before continuing. "Daiki said there was someone who can maybe help with his head somewhere here, so we're going to stick around for a while and see if we can't get a consultation." Shane sits cross-legged on the floor, still shifting the clothing aside to look through the rest beneath. "His work is still fantastic." He sounds quietly awed, as his fingers brush against the suits. He glances up quickly at the mention of help, though, eyes wide again. "Oh -- oh. Oh, there /is/. I -- there is. I hope it works. I hope -- I hope it helps him. It's been --" His eyes drop back to the trunk. "A long road." "I hope so. I mean, there's something kind of focused about him right now, and what he produces is amazing - it's almost zen the way he works, but I also think no one should have to be that focused. It'd be better if he could choose it." Missy gets to her feet and reaches into the side of the trunk, pulling out a set of hangers. "Half of that trunk is for Bastian, so unpacking would probably be helpful." She turns to look around the room. "Er, which closet is yours?" Shane waves a hand towards the correct closet. Upon opening it, it barely has anything in it, a sparse handful of clothes and a violin case propped up against the wall. He stands to start unpacking clothes from the trunk and transferring them to the closet. "It's always better. To have a choice." Missy starts hanging things up and handing them to Shane. "Anyway, I'm glad you like the clothes. There are some hot wing tips in the bottom that I'm dying to see if they fit. Custom ordered, vegan material to keep things mellow on the home front. I mean, you might not like shoes period, but these should at least fit properly and not pinch." Underneath the suits are shirts and undergarments, and on the bottom of the top tray are the shoes. "There are hats in the SUV. I can bring those up later." "Oh my fucking /god/ those are fantastic." Shane's face lights up at the wingtips; he hangs up the suits in his hands but then turns aside from clothing immediately to go try them on. Even if they don't really /go/ with his jeans-and-t-shirt. "Oh my /god/. Missy this is the /most/ excellent. Like. Pretty much the most excellent /on earth/, you have no idea. Did you know I just bought a business? I'll look like a /proper/ businessman now. This is like -- one bright spot in the most /phenomenally/ shitty month." "No! I hadn't heard! That's pretty epic, Shane, especially at your age. I however know how tenacious you are, so I have no doubt you'll do well. I don't even have to ask what kind of business." Ever the consummate clothes hound, Missy is sure that all of the clothes are hanging up nicely in the closet before she stops working, checking collars and distances between clothes so that nothing wrinkles on the hanger. "But you should also tell me because I want to hear all about it." She winks. "Oh, you should also try something on so that we know if we need to do any tailoring. Probably. Part of the surprise meant we didn't really get to measure you. We just went off Daiki's eye, which is really accurate." "Daiki's had his hands on me plenty, I think he had a good idea of size," Shane tells Missy, with a sharp baring of teeth in bright grin. Rather unselfconscious, he peels off his t-shirt and jeans right there, plucking a grey three-piece suit off the rack and /admiring/ it for a moment before he starts putting it on. "I bought Evolve. The coffeeshop. And nightclub. A friend and I are reopening it." Missy has spent way too much time around models to care that Shane is stripping down. She just carries on. "Evolve? Yeah, I was there once a few years back. It was pretty neat. Sounds lovely. Who's the friend?" "Oh! Aly? She moved to California for a bit. But now she's back." Shane tucks the dress shirt into place, buttons up the vest neatly, pulls on the jacket. Spins arround in place, for Missy's benefit. "/Tell/ me I don't rock this." "Oh! Aly! I am going to have to grab her for coffee when I'm in town. It'll be great to catch up." When Shane finishes dressing, she grins, hands clasped together as she studies him with unbridled glee. "I could tell you, but I'd be lying. Shane, you are a delight to look upon." There is a part of her that surfaces soon after, moving closer to tug gently on the clothes, especially around his sides. "No awkward pressure on your gills? Nothing too tight in places or too loose?" "Nope. It's all -- /basically/ pretty much perfect." Shane's grin is bright, but fades into a more serious expression afterwards. His head tips back, eyes fixing up on Missy. "Tell Eli thank you, okay? This is -- really kind." Missy finishes removing the last of Shane's gifts before closing up the trunk and getting ready to leave. "I'll tell him, Shane. Now I have to check in with Bastian, if... well. if Bastian is around, so I'll see you in a while, okay? You'll have to try on some dashing hats for me too." She lifts a hand as she starts to drag the much lighter trunk out. Shane just twirls in place again, letting his dapper new suit-coat shift and spin around him. |
