Introduction
xxxxxHeather "Timeslip" Brown is a woman from St. Louis who spent much of her life isolated by both her upbringing and her abilities, but is now striking out on her own in a world relatively unfamiliar to her.

History
xxxxxHeather's parents were mutant criminals, by the names of Cheryl and Dan Brown, mostly looking out for themselves. As a result of Cheryl's overprotective nature, Heather was homeschooled in order to protect her from the views of outsiders. Dan and Cheryl's relationship began to become rockier when Dan thought that Cheryl was just using him for his power. This resentment resulted in the relationship turning toxic, and Heather being caught in the cross-fires, using his illusions as a means of control.
The triggering of her mutant powers caused a panic and conflict which resulted in both Cheryl and Dan being arrested, and Heather being sent to a psychiatric hospital for a month, and then transferred out to a group home. When she turned 18, she moved to NYC.

Powers
xxxxxFrom Heather's perspective, time moves at a slower pace, and she experiences five seconds of time for every second.
Skills
xxxxx-Heather loves logic puzzles and games, mostly games that do not have too much of an element of chance. Strategy games like chess, chinese checkers, reversi, or any other non-chance dependent games are relevant to her interests. In general, she is tactically gifted, but her social skills are too weak for her to actually lead or anything.
-Heather is good at mathematics and hard sciences, but she is also good at English, as she spends much of her time keeping notes and writing stories in the various journals she keeps.
-Heather doesn't have much of a sense of fear. This is more of a liability.

Description
xxxxxHeather has wild black hair and wilder black eyes. Her long, thick hair seems to perpetually be in a state of entangled mess, and her eyebrows are usually thick and ungroomed. While she does not wear makeup, her skin is clear but pale, almost sickly as if she spent too long in a dark place and never really fully recovered from the lack of sunlight. She has heavy purple bags beneath her eyes, indicating a lack of proper sleep, possibly for a long time. If she were properly groomed, she might have attractive features, with a cute nose, large eyes and nicey shaped lips, but she seems completely unconcerned with her physical appearance. Nice teeth, though.
xxxxxMost of the time, she wears clothes that are bright and clashy, seemingly to lack much of a sense of colour coordination. She has a cheap watch on either wrist, one digital and the other analog, and wears a pair of goggles either over her eyes or around her neck, but otherwise wears little else for accessories. Her shoes seem to always be different, and in various states of disrepair, with the soles worn beyond function most of the time. On occasion, she even wears shoes where the soles are completely open.

Reputation
xxxxxHer flat countenance and monotone voice lead people think that she is bored by most interactions. Those who know her better know that she actually enjoys socializing, but is just not particularly expressive (though due to her shifted perception, she can be pretty impatient). Most people who know her know that she is extremely interested in mathematics, logic puzzles and strategy board games.
xxxxxMost people who just casually know her, though, just know that she has a voracious appetite and is always on the move.

Do You Want to Play a Game? - Heather loves games, particularly ones of pure skill or strategy. Even games with random elements are okay, though. Except for Monopoly. Screw Monopoly.
Mathematical! - In her spare time, Heather enjoys reading textbooks and doing exercises about mathematics. For work, she tutors math (mostly online though).
Story of my Life - Heather likes to write and tell fictional stories. She usually uses a self-insert as the protagonist, as the stories are mostly written with herself as the intended audience.
What About Second Breakfast? - In an ideal world, Heather would eat fifteen times a day. She is often found eating or snacking and enjoys trying new foods and visiting new places.
