xxxxxAt 5’1” Amber makes up for her short stature by having an ego that fills any room. She has an emo/punk aesthetic-- black, neon colours, short skirts and spikes for days. Her hair is brown, straight and most often worn in a pony-tail. She’s of mixed heritage (hispanic/eastern European), being hard to pin down on first glance. She has long nails, often in neon colours and goes heavy on the make-up. She also has several piercings (tongue piercing, plenty of earrings, two rings in the right side of her lower lip, and a spike in her right eyebrow).
Amber does not take shit from anyone and has a real chip on her shoulder about her height. She’s short tempered, brusque and will take any fight that comes her way. She’s confident, self-assured, and is often accused of being bossy, loud or overly dramatic.

xxxxxAmber is a first year Uni student, studying psychology. Those who’ve met her tend to remember her as “that loud chick”, and she’s frequently banned from social media platforms. She’s otherwise not on the radar of public opinion although a lot of people have the distinct feeling they’ve met her before when they meet her.

xxxxxAmber is the daughter of Dr. Emmanuel Griby (PhD) and Dr Amanda Mendoza (MD). She was born in Guadalajara, but has lived her entire life in New York City.
Two years ago her mother died from leukemia, something Amber is still struggling to come to grips with.
She lives with her father and her maternal grandmother Alessa Mendoza.
Growing up in an aggressively pro-mutant household (her mother was a mutant and worked as a nurse with a focus on helping mutant patients), she has been taught from a very early stage to accept people regardless of their looks. She will be unbothered by horns and fangs and other physical mutations, but finds a Jersey-accent freaky.
Currently Amber is attending her first year of Uni, studying psychology. She also, occasionally, works in her father’s store.

| Powers

xxxxxAmber can pull people’s subconscious (and with it their dreams) into her own dreamsphere.
This applies to people she has a psychic fix on. She can get a psychic fix on anyone she’s observed in RL or on television, but she has to have consciously noticed them. People who blend into the background or have a weak presence are usually not subject to her whims. Her powers can also be blocked by people with psionic powers.
The subject of her power has to be asleep or otherwise unconscious. Amber also has to be asleep/unconscious in order to use her power.
In dreams she has various degrees of control of the dream environment depending on how focused she is and how impressionable the subject is.
At this point she does not have control nor much knowledge of her power and will randomly pull people she’s thinking about, only to be upset about this and probably blame them for doing this to her.
A subject will remember her dream visitations to the extent they remember dreams in general. Usually this means a sense of “haven’t I met you before?” if they encounter her in real life, or a general “wtf that was a weird dream” feeling.
Potential:
While not currently able to control her power she can in the future produce various psychosomatic effects on a subject depending on their psyche.
These effects tend to manifest as a lesser version of what she does in the dream. Example: She gives someone horns in > they wake up feeling like they definitely have horns (but not physically)
She stabs someone in the gut > they wake up with a tummy ache.
etc.
She can not manifest physical effects from a dream to the waking world, only affect a subject's psyche into feeling the potential effect of what happens in the dream.
With training she might also be able to implant a message that lingers in the conscious mind upon waking up.
