As a teenager approaching adulthood, she was even on the track towards the Olympics. Though, all good things must come to an end. After a stressful argument with her parents before a meet and then enduring some yelling from her coach, something just snapped in her from the stress. There were Olympic scouters at this meet, after all, and this was make it or break it. As she performed the vault, something miraculous happened. Her body supernaturally launched several feet in the air, high above world record, before landing, on her feet, revealing that she was a mutant. Her coach dropped her, all chances at the Olympics were down the drain, and many people were even calling for past awards to be stripped from her, claiming that she must have used mutant abilities to cheat. Her parents disowned her, and her own older brother tried to attack her. Fed up with it all, she left for New York, getting a job as a waitress, making several friends, and moving into an apartment with a few, though, now that she knows what she is and is out, is also a large supporter of mutant rights and frequents many protests. Though, it's usually the first. Powers xxxxxHigh Jump: Araceli has the ability to propel herself into the air, which is pretty much a higher jump than a normal person's. She can reach four stories at max, and even this takes a lot of energy out of her, requiring her to rest between jumps after using her full power. xxxxxNimble: As a side effect of her ability, falls are less effective on her than most people. A fall that could cause someone to stumble wouldn't phase her, nor would one that might sprain an ankle.
