Introduction
xxxxxInsecure, kindhearted, and a little bit cranky, Paige has difficulty accepting herself as a mutant. Having been raised with anti-mutant sentiments, it may take some time for her to feel comfortable around others like herself. She is ashamed of her physical changes and is unaware that they are ongoing.

History
xxxxxPaige is the daughter of Mary and Harold Piefer and was raised, alongside her older brother, in a vehemently anti-mutant household. If anyone in her small town were to 'become a horrid abomination', her father and brother had their shotguns loaded and were strong believers in the second amendment. Her mother worked within local goverenment while her father ran her grandparents' grocery store in town. Ryan, her brother, was employed in local law enforcement and would sometimes come home with horror stories involving 'monstrosities'.
xxxxxPaige's childhood was rather uneventful and mundane. In school, her grades were never too bad and she managed to gain acceptance to a good college. Though her favorite classes were in philosophy and sociology, her parents expected her to graduate with a business degree. Introverted, Paige often turned to reading as an escape from the daily stress of social anxiety and was very close with her few friends. Despite some ups and downs, everything appeared to be relatively fine - that is, up until her mutation began to reveal itself during summer break.
xxxxxAt first it was small, just nubs protruding from her skull. Maybe that would be all. Maybe she could keep them a secret and get them shaved off. She was able to keep them covered with hoods and hats. A few months into the fall semester of her sophomore year, however, her horns had grown substantially in size. Having no idea how her family would react to her changes and fearing for the worst, Paige -freaked- out. She left school, leaving the majority of her belongings behind. In her panic, she tossed her smartphone, took some cash out of her bank account, and fled. As far as her parents are aware, she is still at college, but that cover has a quickly expiring shelf-life and is bound to cause trouble in her future.

Clothes
xxxxxPaige only has one set of clothes on her person after leaving everything behind. She wears a grey sweatshirt two sizes too big for her with a hood she uses in an sad attempt to cover her horns. Her blue jeans seem to be holding up while her calf-high brown leather boots are oddly creased near the toes. It is winter, of course, so she's made a nominal effort at keeping warm by wearing two shirts beneath the sweatshirt.

Powers
xxxxxPaige has no powers and her mutations are purely physical. Currently, she has a pair of thick ridged horns protruding from her skull which sweep towards the back of her head. Her ears are slightly pointed, her knees seem to be further up her legs than typical, and her feet look painfully cramped. Paige's mutations are still progressing, but she does not know the extent to which that will be.
Skills
xxxxxAlthough Paige was trained in using a handgun by her older brother, she is really not into applying such deadly force and certainly does not have a firearm. Her curiosity and normally calm temperament have proven her to be a good listener and someone capable of giving strong emotional support.

- Matt - Seems to be a good person.
- Dusk - Not sure, but not bad? Weird-ish taste in books.
- Hive - Brain. Ow. Nice person, though!

Horned - Paige has substantial horns growing from the front of her skull, flowing to the back. They are thick and ridged. While she tries to cover them up with hoods, they are still noticeable from an average distance if one is looking at her.
Identity Crisis - Paige is a mutant. Paige is not currently down with being a mutant and wishes she were not such a 'freak'. Thanks, Paige's parents.
Book Lover - Paige loves to read fiction, primarily fantasy and science-fiction novels. She is a big fan of Orson Scott Card, Patrick Rothfuss, Brandon Sanderson, and Robert Holdstock. Books are the best way to escape from stressful realities.
Casual Gamer - Paige enjoys her Skyrim and her Dragon Age and her rebooted Tomb Raider series. She generally sticks to single-player games with enthralling story arcs.
Harbor Commons Guest - Thanks to a charming fellow named Steve and a creepy-ish one named Hive, Paige is gratefully residing in a guest room at Harbor Commons. She doesn't quite understand why she's allowed to stay in such a beautiful space for practically nothing, but she's not about to start complaining.
Registration Out of Date - Let's just say "has horns" is not listed in Paige's two year-old MRA Registration.
