Introduction

xxxxxSomething of a social chameleon, Merit usually comes off as affable and a bit flirtatious. Outside of large gatherings, he sometimes appears bored or disconnected. Occasionally, he acts intense and energetic for no apparent reason. In the right context, this can be refreshing or even alluring, but other times he just seems crazed.

History

xxxxxA recent but aggressive addition to the City's nightlife, Merit has made a name for himself spinning as DJ Straylight. He guest DJs at various dance events, ranging from underground raves to exclusive clubs. A lot of people seem to know of him, but hardly anyone knows much about him.

Powers

xxxxxMerit can sense and manipulate electricity in his immediate vicinity. He primarily uses this ability to disrupt wireless communications and sabotage electronics, although he has learned to produce more spectacular effects as well.

xxxxxWhile he cannot generate electricity, he can channel it through his body without fear of injury. He can even hold a charge temporarily; this gives him a euphoric 'high', but also makes him behave erratically and interferes with nearby EM transmissions.
