xxxxxViolet is new to New York, having abandoned her hometown in San Jose in an attempt to get away from people who knew her when she was younger. She's a punky thing and identifies as a trans woman. While she doesn't actively hide her trans status, she doesn't broadcast either. She's a registered mutant, though that she also does not broadcast. She prefers to keep things quiet and let her personality speak for itself. Friendly and outgoing, she is always eager to make conversation or meet new people.

xxxxx Born in San Jose, Vi started life out being called Andrew. Troubled all through school and up into high school, he identified as a punk, complete with spikes and mohawk. After a few shoplifting arrests, he grew distant from his parents and started disappearing for hours at a time. A little family investigation found him hidden out nearby in an abandoned house, dressed in stolen feminine garments. The shock of the secret coming out led to a fairly literal explosion of emotion as telekinesis manifested itself. His father, the only person who saw it happen, rationalized it away as having passed out from shock. Therapy and transition soon followed and Andrew became Violet. She thrived once she was able to identify as herself, becoming friendly and more confident. Years later, tired of old high school friends calling her "Andy" and making snide comments, she decided to move to New York for a fresh start.

xxxxx Telekinesis - Vi is a telekinetic of moderate skill and fairly high potential. She is entirely self-taught and sees her power as her personal secret, using it in private is her escape from the world. Her telekinesis is not very finessed, in general. The use of her power tends to come in the form of "push," "pull," or "lift." The energy needed to perform these actions is finite and if she expends it by going all out or through extended use, she ends up with terrible headaches and exhausted. At the lower end of her range, she could manipulate a ball-bearing fairly deftly, by using combinations of those three impulses. In the middle of her range, between the size of a person and 500 or so pounds, she can still combine impulses, such as lift and pull at the same time in order to bring an item to herself. Any delicate maneuvering however, would leave her wiped out nearly instantly. Past the midpoint of her range, up to the extreme of 1000 pounds, she can only manage one impulse at a time. This is often in the form of an all out shove or a brief and taxing lift. She has not yet learned how to perform very fine manipulations and it is unlikely she ever will without dedicated training and the help of an expert telekinetic. For example, she could turn a key in a lock by using the push and pull impulses, but she could not even begin to open the lock mechanism without a key. She could throw a video game controller across a room in frustration, but she could not even come close to trying to play the game hands free. Another limitation is that lifting objects for her is a matter of pushing them off of the ground, not actually enveloping them in a TK grasp and picking them up. This means she could not, for example, hover an object over the side of a building, since that would disrupt her ability to push off of the roof beneath her.
xxxxxLevitation - Not truly a separate power, Vi has practiced lifting her own body via telekinesis extensively. It is her absolute favorite thing in the world and if she is alone and has the chance, she will just lay around in midair purely because she can. She is not capable of real flight due to the limitations of herpowers, nor maintain more than 5-6 feet of altitude, but she can move along at walking speed or perhaps a short dash if she were not high off the ground. Far more of a float than a fly.
