xxxxxA college-age outspoken Mutant activist, trying to undo the harm caused by his grandfather, a pro-Registration anti-gay pro-war anti-choice congressional representative. His deepest-held belief is that assimilationism and secret identities are harmful to the Mutant cause; though actually outing mutants is a bridge too far, he puts constant pressure on his "closeted" friends to announce their mutant status to the world.

xxxxxRaised in wealth in Jacksonville by parents, a successful businessman and TV actress. The house was generally apolitical and areligious except when visited by his grandfather, a conservative Christian congressional representative who's held onto his rural seat for decades. Through high school and the wonders of the burgeoning internet, Vic began to push back against his grandfather's influence, culminating in the representative disowning Vic after he tried to take a black boy to a sophomore dance..
xxxxxHis X-gene expressed itself during summer break and came with some difficult-to-cope-with side effects. His father reluctantly let Xavier take him, both for treatment and to separate Vic from his grandpa. Victor expanded his worldview a great deal at Xavier's, but after coming out as gay, he chafed under the need to be back in the closet. He was accepted into NYU's economics program thanks to Xavier's and his father's influence, and came out as an open mutant on day 1.

xxxxxVictor has 360 degree matter sense. He can detect the presence, motion, and density of the mass of all objects all around him. The sense extends to 30 meter radius sphere if he pushes it to its limit. At its smallest, it's 2 meters. Xavier speculates that Victor is sensing the magnetic charges of electrons and photons, because strong magnetic fields disrupt his sense. This limitation is a blessing in disguise, however; the constant barrage of information can cause sleep loss and migraines, so Victor sleeps with an electromagnetic helmet to blindfold himself at night.
xxxxxThe massive influx of sensory data requires a massive capacity to sort and react to it. A secondary effect of Victor's mutation is near-instantaneous reflexes. He's used them on several occasions to beat down or evade anti-mutant goons out for a bashing. However, with hardly any physical enhancements to speak of and no offensive powers, he was never a serious candidate for an X-men team.
xxxxxVic is extremely healthy. His skin rarely scars, and he has a six-pack from only a daily 30 minutes of gym time. He insists this is perfectly normal human genetic, and that he's not advantaged over baseline humans in things like foot races. Xavier disagrees, but doesn't push the issue.

xxxxxHas access to some small resources and budget as president of NYU's Mutant Pride student club. He has access to considerably more resources if he's willing to swallow his pride and ask his wealthy father for help.
xxxxxThe helmet he sleeps with is sleek, high-tech, and durable, but he could probably replicate it with a salad bowl and some refrigerator magnets if something happened to the regular one.
