I know it's been said a lot before - but all you need is love.
Introduction xxxxxSlightly tall, slightly slender, Karolina has an earthy, romantic sense of fashion that borders on the Bohemian. Well, and what also tends to be noticeable about her is that she is nearly constantly glowing. All the colors of the rainbow shift and play over her form in a distinct sort of aura. And as pretty as that is, it also marks her as a mutant. xxxxxKarolina tends towards being a bit reserved about herself personally, which can be mistaken for shyness (and might actually be shyness, who knows!). But in spite of that trait, she also tends towards being quietly social, especially in situations where her love of art or charity can be shared or experienced with other people. xxxxxOh, yeah. And her parents may or may not be a pair of Hollywood stars, that mysteriously vanished a couple years ago, who may or may not be linked to some sort of mafia-esque criminal organization. History xxxxxSadly, like too many other mutants her age, Karolina Dean left a life of more or less luxury and classroom politics when her powers manifested, marking her as an obvious mutant, forcing her to become a runaway. Well, finding out that her parents were more or less involved in some pretty awful stuff helped her decide to make her escape from them, as well. At first, she had a group of her fellow runaways to help her out - but time and run-ins with the law ended up dividing them, forcing them unto seperate paths. xxxxxLuckily for 'lina, someone from Xavier's managed to catch the news when she (accidentally) appeared on it, and now she's safely within the confines of the School. More or less. Even if she does feel confined more than a little bit. Powers xxxxxThe most basic explanation of Karolina's powers is that her body generates energy (and lots of it), from exposure to sunlight. The best part about it is - is that she has control over this energy, and has managed to be able to generate force fields of a sort with it. The worst part is the fact that she glows - in an ideal world, this wouldn't be an issue, but an ideal world wouldn't have people like the Friends of Humanity that behave so violently. If you were in the LA area around that time, maybe you know her? The Arts - Karolina is drawn to all sorts of arts, from painting, to plays, but especially to music. The Beatles are a particular favorite of hers. The Pride - Those in the know about that sort of scene might know about the Pride, a shadowy, outwardly mafia-esque criminal organization that held influence in the LA/Hollywood area, and mysteriously vanished a couple years back. Karolina might be linked to that, through her parents. Student - Karolina missed a year or so of schooling - and she's playing catchup at Xavier's. She's always okay with getting a little help being tutored, getting homework help, or whatever; even from younger students.
