X-Teens assemble via an intricate network of whispers and rumors, to figure out how to go about finding the missing students. Meeting is interrupted when everyone gets high instead.

Location

<XS> Rec Room

Notes have been passed, conversations whispered, people convening in hallways have gossiped, but now, students are starting to assemble. Word is getting around that if anyone is concerned for the missing students, they should meet in the rec room after classes dismiss, look for the colorful Metamorph. Ze's the one with the plan. Students are starting to come together for their clandestine meet up and they are a little nervous.

Rasa is pacing. Ze is decked out somewhat casually in a pair of purple yoga pants and a yellow long sleeved tee shirt, hir hands covered in navy blue gloves. Hir face happens to be a mixture of colors, like the rainbows reflected in oil spills, dark all around, with swirling patterns. Hir hair is pulled back, but has a navy shine to it that catches the light. Ze continues pacing, barefoot, frowning a bit, looking for faces that appear to be looking for hir - studying each person that comes in. It's an uneasy sort of hush near hir - everyone speaking in whispers, lest the teachers find out.

Concerned and worried are two words that tend to describe the withdrawn boy normally. Faelan makes his way into the rec room, wearing a long sleeve shirt in charcoal grey with the logo of some restaurant on it, and a pair of black jeans with legs worn out from constant stepping upon and shuffling. Looking around at the others present in the room, he recognizes faces, and vaguely associates names from classes, though he's spoken with few of them. He does at least join the grouping of whispering students, though he stays on the edges. Kris has no idea whether she should even be here, but she HAS to at least check it out... What if she's needed, after all? She can't think HOW, exactly, but she shows up. Some of her friends, or at least sorta-friends, are missing, and they're schoolmates! This is sorta bad! So, with her usual tupperware-bound snack in hand, she walks into the rec room and immediately plops down. Perhaps, inappropriately, she even compliments,"I like your pants." Never hurts to pass on a compliment, right?

Sophie ran back to her dorm after class to prepare for the meeting and, as such, she's in a little bit of a rush when she heads to the rec room. For fear that she's made herself late to the meeting. When she does make her way to said meeting place, she's a touch overdressed; a button-down, short-sleeved shirt, red plaid skirt and matching tie that look for all the world like some school uniform, though she's completed the outfit with rainbow stockings and multicolored Chuck Taylors. And a little purse. When she does enter, she rapidly shifts from her 'must rush and get there now now!' attitude to one a bit more 'obviously trying to be stealthy'; a brief look around the rec room indicates to her where, exactly, she should be going; and she heads over in that direction, claiming a nearby chair and biting her lip nervously. Not really sure if she should /say/ anything, she does give Rasa a nod to indicate that she's here for The Secret Reasons, and also gives a little wave to greet Faelan as well.

One person who is already there has no problem at /all/ being quiet. In fact, that's pretty much his dayjob. Except for the fact that he doesn't get paid and more often than not people just find it inconvenient. Ivan sits near Rasa, upright in a comfortable armchair, dressed in jeans and converses and a simple white dress shirt while a notebook rests on his lap. His eyes are focused on Rasa like a /hawk's/, until other people start trickling in. Then, he stares at them. In turn.

He may not be the voice of this operation, but that doesn't mean he's not paying attention. Though his expression doesn't much show his discomfort, teeny tiny little spiders occasionally darting in and out of his hair and clothing do that job well enough for him.

"Okay," Rasa's voice carries throughout the small group, but is still rather quiet, to try to keep them from drawing too much attention. "Um, thanks, Kris." Is that a blush? Who knows, the colors swirled away too quickly. "As you guys may have heard, Peter's missing and maybe the twins too. Those of us who know the twins know that they tend to take off from time to time, but Shelby texted me to say that Mr. Holland is really worried because they didn't seem upset when they left and they still haven't come back yet - so. The point is, we're missing classmates. We're worried, right -- 'cause that's why we're here, but the question is, do we want to do something about this?" Rasa pauses and starts looking around. "I told Logan and Mr. Summers knows and is working with the other teachers to try to find them, but they are only so many people - and there's more of us if we help." Ze stops and looks at Sophie, then the rest of the group, eyeing Faelan for a moment, then changing tactics. "I'm Rasa, by the way. Shelby's my roommate. Do we want to go around and introduce ourselves?"

Being eyed by Rasa, Faelan looks down a moment, not sure if being eyed is good or not. "Um, I'm Faelan." He may say it softly due to shyness, or in part of keeping it down. "Do we know what Peter was doing when he went off? I mean has he disapeared before?" He is somewhat the expert on getting himself lost and needing help to get back to campus after all. "I know his leg was starting to change, so what if he's waiting somewhere safe to hide before coming back?"

New Girl. First day on campus. It's all a bit overwhelming. Somehow, though, Megan Gwynn managed to find the time to bake /cupcakes/, amidst new student orientation, a tour of the facilities, and getting settled in her room. Now, dressed in a blue sweater and yoga pants, bare footed, she makes her way into the rec room with those cupcakes all in a basket. Her pink hair is pulled up in a bright yellow hairband, and her gossamer wings glitter in brilliant shades of blue and pink. "Cupcakes!" she calls as she enters the room. "Oh, good, there are /people/ here, this time. Hi! I brought cupcakes!"

Kris smiles brightly at Rasa in a brief manner. A toothy sort of smile. Then she returns to her resigned expression as she opens her tupperware to begin eating some spicey kind of dish,"I don't know... Um... Would he have done that when he'd probably want help, not isolation? We're the people least likely treat him badly. Going AWAY for something like that is... I'm not sure it makes sense? Besides, he'd at least tell Ivan, I'd think?" A pause, and she apologizes,"I'm sorry... I'm Kris... Pretty sure I've met most of you though. I don't know the twins so well, but they'd at least tell us to screw off, I think, before leaving." She begins chewing on the edge of her nail... until she sees Megan,"Oh my God. It's a faerie. And she brought cupcakes!" Like she just saw the coolest thing ever.

Looking /just/ a smidge put on the spot, Sophie nonetheless stands up, running a hand through her hair. "I'm Sophie MacLachlan, I'm Kisha's new roommate. If you don't know me it's cause I kind of came in halfway through the semester..." She blushes, holding a fist to her mouth to clear her throat. "Umm. I actually haven't really seen Peter in a while 'cause I've been catching up on homework, but then I heard he went missing so... he's my friend and I think more people looking couldn't hurt." She frowns, then, and looks to Faelan. "What do you mean his leg was changing? Is something wrong with him?" She's a little out of the loop. CUPCAKES are tragically ignored for now. She's worried!

If anything, Ivan's proving himself to be the opposite of a social butterfly over where he sits. He's just staring at people as they talk, giving only a mere nod to Kris as she mentions his name. No introductions, nor interest for the poor, poor cupcakes. A dark, fuzzy, thumbnail-sized spider manages to crawl out of his hair and all the way onto the bridge of his nose without him even noticing? Or... caring, perhaps? He may be /slightly/ out of it.

"Peter generally goes home to his Aunt and Uncle on the weekends, and yeah, he might be going through some changes he isn't exactly comfortable with, but he is rather addicted to his phone and answers text messages like crazy no matter what - except when he's in trouble. His guardians are worried. We're worried." Rasa tries to address some concerns, but ze is also minorly distracted by the cupcake fairy. Huh. "The problem is that Peter is almost always in trouble. We had to go find him in a sewer once because a mutantmonster thing was trying to eat him." Ze looks around again. "But thank you, Faelan. It's good to address stuff like that, so we're all on the same page." Right? Of course right. "Nice to meet you, Sophie. Um. Welcome." Rasa reaches out a hand and squeezes Ivan's shoulder before continuing. "I figure, what we can do, is probably go poke around in groups and see if we can find clues. What do you guys think?"

One out of four warm responses to cupcakes does not seem to faze Megan, who immediately turns to offer the tray to Kris with a smile. "I'm not /actually/ a fairy,"s he says. "But I do hope you like the cupcakes. These ones are chocolate, and these ones are vanilla, and the frostings are blueberry, raspberry, cherry, or strawberry." Once Kris has picked one, she moves on to Rasa next, then makes her way around the room from there. "I'm Megan, by the way. And this sounds way totally serious. Someone's missing? Sorry I'm late to the party, I just got here today, but if someone's missing, shouldn't we tell the teachers?"

Blinking at bright happy cupcake bringer, Faelan tilts his head looking at her. New person yes, "Um, hello. I would like a cupcake please." A ghost of a smile crosses his face for Megan a moment, then he looks back to the others. "Well I didn't say it was exactly what happened. I just figured he might have. I'd hide if something was happening to me." Looking down in embarassment, he shakes his head. "So if he's not hiding from us on purpose, then maybe he got hit in the head and got amnesia? Or maybe he was taken by men in black suits to be experimented on?" His eyes were trailing down the dvd selection as he spoke, perhaps getting his ideas from the movies. As Megan mentions the teachers, he shakes his head. "The teachers already know, but Rasa thinks that we may be able to help. Since there are more of us, and only so many teachers."

Kris gets a 'fat' look on her face as she tries to decide between cherry and raspberry cupcakes, but finally chooses a raspberry one and beguns to 'nom' on it,"Oh, wow... Doesn't matter what you are, you're cool. You brought us cupcakes." Speaking around a mouthful, she even extends a hand,"Nice to meet you, Megan." Then she's nodding to Rasa,"Anyone with tracking skills or powers should be divided between the groups. If things get too hairy or dark, or we find something, we should call on the adults." She pauses in that thought, and then asks,"I mean... we ARE going to involve the teachers when we find something, right? Should we make flyers?" She nods to Megan for the thought.

"Oh hey raspberry." Sophie /yoinks/ a vanilla-raspberry cupcake, though y'know, a little more /politely/ than that sounds, and gives Megan a smile. "Thanks! Um, like Faelan said, the teachers know but we're just-- since it's our friends we're kind of thinking more people looking would be a good idea. Only we probably shouldn't let them know that we're looking..." She starts saying this to Megan, but gradually raises her voice to address the rest of the group. "...am I right? I feel like we'll probably get in trouble if we go looking on our own, grownups always think kids are too young to 'handle' stuff like that." She'd make a mocking gesture with her hands, but at this point she's sitting down and a bit occupied with cupcake.

Ivan sinks back just a /little/ in his chair. "I cannot help /outside/." He admits, accent Russian, quite heavily so. "I am not allowed outside of the school grounds." His stares finally cease, upon Rasa's shouldersqueeze. He peers downward instead, missing a cupcake offer as he instead busies himself with leafing through pages full of notes scribbled down in pen and pencil alike. None of them really seem to hold his attention for more than a second. Maybe he just /wishes/ there was something useful in there when really, there is not.

"Yeah, we're going to involve the teachers if we find something --- And we're going to do this safely. If you have to talk to teachers, try to avoid Mr. Summers and Ms. Walters. They're the first two that'll probably get you put on lock down like Ivan here, who only got grounded because he's Peter's roommate." Rasa snags a blueberry and chocolate cupcake for hirself, carefully peeling the wrapper off the outside and breaking off a chunk to offer some to Ivan. "I'm not sure about flyers, but if you want to, we can do that -- but here's what I propose. We should go in groups of three or four and explore the neighborhood around Pete's family's house, and then other places he might have gone. We should go during daylight and everyone should be absolutely ready to press your panic buttons if you find something really important - or if you get scared something bad will happen."

Megan smiles for Faelan as she flutters across the room--literally flying the short distance--to present the remaining cupcake tray to him. "Well, if the teachers know, then I'm totally in. Missing classmates is very not okay, but I'm sure we can find them. It's probably just some silly mixup or something. Oh, hey, I'm Megan, by the way."

Accepting a cupcake, more by random selection than choice, Faelan nods his head in thanks. "Does anybody know where he was last? I mean Rasa said about the time he got into the sewers, so he goes all over the place." Taking a bite of the cupcake, he smiles. "Hm, chocolate. Thanks." Wiping icing off his lips, he thinks abit. "Its best if we at least go out properly, and sign out. If we start pressing panic buttons when they think we're at school, it'll be worse. I think I'm the only one who can get away with calling and asking them to sign me out." Again looking embarassed, he gnaws down the cupcake.

There was no answer at Ivan's door, so here's Kai, hopping into the rec room one foot to the next. He appears to have changed from his class clothing, in sweatpants and an Xavier's t-shirt. He has a book under his arm, a couple of pieces of notebook paper sticking out from between the pages. He's got a bit of a smile on his face, but it fades when he spies the group of students, some of whom he doesn't know at all. Then he's freezing slightly before lowering his foot to the floor. The book comes around to his front, and he waits, hanging on the very perimeter of awareness with a pensive sort of look, first at Ivan, then at Kris. It's rather like he's choosing lifeboats, from his expression.

"Well, if a friend of ours is in trouble, it's worth getting in trouble if something happens. I hate to disappoint Mr. Summers, but nothing wrong with walking around and maybe handing out flyers. That's not really dangerous, right? Besides, he might be laying around somewhere hurt, and that would be bad." Kris pauses in this assessment to ask Ivan,"Are you okay?" With half of her cupcake eaten, she's already looking at the other cupcakes speculatively,"Rather than sneaking out, we could just TELL them we're passing out flyers. They couldn't possibly feel there's anything wrong with that, right?" Then it occurs to her,"Oh... but then they'll want to send someone to watch us. Which will take them away from what they're doing to help." Wait... There's Kai! She beckons with one hand to the boy, a smile lighting her face, and scoots over on the couch,"Come, sit here."

Sophie curls her feet up underneath herself, getting all cozy on the chair as she picks at the paper wrapping her cupcake. And attempts a dainty nibble. Gets some frosting on her nose in the process, dabs that off, making sure no one saw. "Groups is a good idea. With like, lookouts and stuff, right?" She casually nibbles at cupcake a bit more, gnawing at frosting before making her way to the cakey bit. "I don't know about flyers though, I mean... I mean I guess we're not gonna put something like 'HEY GUYS THERE'S A MUTANT KID MISSING' 'cause people might be jerks but... I don't know, I feel weird about flyers." She shrugs awkwardly, looking around to see if anyone agrees. "Maybe it's just me. Um. Are any of us old enough-- can anyone here drive? I can't so I'm.. not really sure what the rules are."

Ooh, cupcake piece. As if the baked goods hadn't been around the entire time already, Ivan is quick to accept the chunk Rasa offers him. Even if he holds it out in front of him a little lost-like when he has it. Maybe he's saving it for later. The question posed to him by Kris snaps his attention back up again, and he nods in answer, just in time to see a Kai enter. Hello Kai. He sits up just a little, offering-- a somewhat sad smile. Maybe not the best lifeboat at the moment.

"I drove a truck a few times," Megan chimes in, as she flutters over to offer cupcakes to Kai. "Hi, I'm Megan," she whispers to him, winks. "But I'm better at flying. It's sorta uncomfortable sitting in the cab with the wings, and all that. Flyers are probably not so great, though. Aren't a lot of mutants still being blamde for that thing with the missile? We'd just be painting targets on ourselves. I say we just go out in groups and ask if anyone's seen someone like insert-picture-here. And be all detectivey."

"Also, what kind of contact information are you going to put on a flyer? Call Xavier's School for Other Mutant Kids? That wouldn't go well if we're dealing with people that just hate mutants." Rasa agrees with the group, wrinkling hir nose when the discussion of vehicles comes up. "Oh. I don't have my license. I was just going to take the train from Salem Center into the city. Public transit is useful, if a little time consuming. Hm. Maybe I should get my license." Ze considers, taking a nibbling bite on the side of hir cupcake. "I like groups of four better, but three could work. We just need to watch our surroundings as well as who we are talking to. It's probably too late tonight, but I'll head to the city tomorrow right after class and check out some recent fires in the area. Peter kind of liked those places. Maybe we can go by hospitals too, asking about Teenage John Does?"

Oh, hey, people are looking at him! Kai blinks as Kris smiles at him, and offers a shy smile in return. He BLINKS when Megan flutters over, and he tilts his head curiously as he examines her. Her wings get a long look, and he offers a nod. "I am Kai," he says, taking a cupcake with a smile. "Your wings are very pretty." And then he's flummoxed at what else to say, for some reason, and with another grateful nod, he slips around her to plunk himself on the couch next to Kris, listening to the discussion without any appearance of comprehending the situation. Or maybe he does. "You are talking about Peter?" he guesses in a half-whisper to Kris. He's so sneaky.

"We can just have the poster say that Peter is Missing and a phone number to call his Aunt and Uncle if they've seen him. I mean it works for missing dogs." Faelan doesn't see anything wrong with using dog locating tactics on Peter finding. "And its probably not a good idea to fly in the city. They may give you a ticket for using mutant powers, though I don't know if wings count. I could make you invisible though so that they wouldn't see you, but then a bird might run into you." Readjusting to sit with more comfort, he frowns. "I have a liscence, but I don't have a car. Me and driving don't get along too well." Teleporting other cars and pedestrians was a bad idea after all. "Maybe we can hire a private eye? Or did they do that already?"

Kris nods slowly to Kai,"We are speaking of going to find him. I have some experience finding people... but tracking someone over concrete is different from tracking them through jungle, you know. Look, though, our new friend brought us cupcake." As for asking at hospitals,"You are right about the fliers, but the hospitals will likely not be helpful. They are not supposed to release information about whether or not patients are even there. There are laws against it." She sighs and massages the bridge of her nose,"I am not very good at this. I... have some money from my parents. I can afford a cab for a little while, but once that runs out, we will be back where we started."

"Well, with a flyer, I was kind of thinking..." Sophie waves a hand vaguely, finishing off her cupcake as she takes a moment to chew over her thoughts. "...like, if something /does/ happen -- not like if Peter does something but if something crazy ends up happening that's connected to all this, then there'd be all these flyers around and people could be like 'Oh, there were some kids asking about that and I have their flyer right here officer and I wouldn't have remembered them but they gave me a thing and that made me remember'. It's like... kind of like evidence, y'know?" She nibbles at her lower lip a little, sinking into her chair. "...I mean, that's just what I think. I think we should probably be super dishonest and sneaky when we talk to people outside the school. Come up with a fake story."

"Well, if you're going to have Peter's guardians fielding phone calls by crazy kooks, you better ask them first, because not everyone that has a 'tip' is being honest." Rasa clears hir mouth of cupcake and settles on the arm of Ivan's chair and considers. "Fake story is good. Oh, did I say it? Signing out is good too. Definitely don't do anything that will /actually/ get you in trouble with the school." Ze considers for a moment. "Though, the flyer thing? We could make it a campaign. Would it be horrible if we made it a big deal and got the media involved, trying to see if anyone has seen Peter Parker? But.. well, that would make him really noticeable when this is over and I don't know if he'd thank us for that." Mr. Secret Identity, indeed.

Kai nods in understanding when Kris explains, and he furrows his brow thoughtfully at Ivan for a moment. "I think," he says in his low, soft voice, "that it is a very good thing that you want to do this. But I do not think that it is a very good idea." He colors as he offers this bold counter-argument. "If a thing has happened to him, then we should tell Mister Holland. He is one of the people who brought me here, and he is very brave." He takes a deep breath, his hand tightening on his cupcake. "Peter is my good friend, and he is quick and strong. If a thing has happened to /him/, it might happen to any of you, too." This sounds genuinely concerned, and he frowns deeply. "I would not wish bad things to happen to any of you."

"It's probably nothing bad, though," Megan says to Kai with a smile. "He's probably just like lost or something. And if it is something bad, well, we've got strength in numbers, and a plan to run away and get help right away." She shrugs, then says, "I think it's a good plan. We just need to be smart about it."

"I would think he would appreciate being found if he were in trouble more than any attention afterwards. Though he may end up as grounded as Ivan is if he comes back." Faelan nods at that, then looks to Kai. "All the teachers know about it already, so I would think he knows since the twins are missing too." He nods at that, then puffs a strand of hair out of his face. "I think we need to come up with a plan we can agree on. So far its going out, and running away if theres problems. Which is my kind of plan, but not really effective for finding Peter." He slumps his chin into his hands. "Maybe we should think of how to find him and the twins. Its been a few days, would a blood hound work?"

Kris nods emphatically,"I'm not sure whether he will thank us or not matters... If he is injured or in need of help..." She nods to Kai, though,"You and Ivan know him better than virtually anyone here, yes?" She elbows Kai in a gentle sort of way,"Don't squish your cupcake over it though... Why not ask Rahne? She is friendly, and I bet she could find Peter by smell easily. Ask her, if anyone sees her anytime soon?" She bites her nails in a nervous sort of way,"I am used to letting other people plan things. It is good there are so many smart people here to think of these things."

It is clear from the way her expression falters a bit that Sophie hadn't considered the possibility of bad things happening to /them/ as well. "Peter was one of the first friends I made when I got here.. so I don't really feel right not doing /something/ about him being missing. And... and the teachers know about it. And as long as we're in /groups/ then we should be-- oh!" She looks to Rasa, basically assuming zie is the de facto leader of their little group here. "I think-- just /in case/, it'd be a good idea if our groups have at least one person whose power is kind of... fighty?" She rubs the back of her neck, fiddling with her hair a bit. "It's just that like... all I can do is astral project and if we get in trouble /that's/ not really useful but... we should at least have someone in each group who's good at fighting. Just in case."

"I hope Peter is alive." Ivan speaks up again, with what may possibly seem to be a bit of disconnect between his words and his tone of voice - completely deadpan. He's also staring unfocused at his chunk o' cupcake now, as the spider previously on his nose lowers itself down into his lap on a silvery thin thread, and onto the notebook. When he continues, his voice trails off a little more with every word spoken. "I do not know if it would be good, to put his face on paper. The FBI wants to find him, as well. It might be problems." More of the tinier arachnids start lowering from his hair and neck, creeping disagonally or just straight /down/ across his body and clothes. Anyone not in favour of spiders and nearby-- may want to move away at this point.

Megan's eyes widen, and her wings flutter a little as she moves to put the rest of the cupcakes on the counter with a note that reads 'Free to hungry mouths'. She doesn't comment on anything else, at the moment, but FBI? Death? These are Big Words, and the fairy is listening.

"Okay, being wanted by the FBI kind of trumps all the good flyers could do." Rasa frowns, the rainbows disappearing from hir skin as hir mood drops. "Fighting is tricky. You think that defending yourself is good, but the best thing to do is run away when there is danger. The best a fighting type could do is get caught while everyone else runs. Best to focus on someone who can get help and get help fast. But maybe both - A fighter and a fleer. Who here can either of those things?" Kai nods silently as other people chime in, and sinks back into the couch to lick frosting from his fingers. If spiders encroach upon him, he does not seem overly bothered, even extending a frosting-covered finger to help them gain altitude. "I hope he is alive as well," he says, nodding at Ivan. "But he is quick and strong. He will come back." He seems certain of this as he lifts the cupcake with his non-spidered hand to bite deeply into it.

Kris gently raises her hand when Rasa asks for volunteers,"I am hesitant to do so... But I am very good at both of these things. However, if I use my power, the teachers will know immediately. And there is a good chance that I would injure someone badly." Her tone suggests she doesn't like that idea at all. "Preparing for a fight often makes one more likely to stumble into it. If we get in trouble, should we not dial '911' first, anyway?" Neither does she seem particularly bothered by spiders. Instead, she pokes at Kai,"Careful. You almost ate one, there." She points at a long-limbed arachnid.

"Um, I'm just good at running away, but I can bring other people. Well sometimes bring, its easier to just sorta fling everyone around randomly." Faelan vaguely gestures. "Its kinda all I'm good for. But maybe we should think about a plan that wont require running away first. We can always ask what the teachers are doing, and maybe come up with something that helps there. Or at least so we aren't overlapping." Faelan frowns and shakes his head, and seeing all the spiders about the Ivan, he scoots away abit. "Maybe I should go and look up how you go about finding a missing person. It may be useful." Scoot, scoot, scoot. He was already up and heading for the door at least.

"I can fly pretty fast," Megan says, turning around. Then? Then she spots the horde of arachnids, and squeaks with startlement. Cue dust, sparkling, shimmering, beautiful dust, flying everywhere in front of her, in a mess on whomever happens to be nearby. "Ohmygosh spiders!"

"I just figured.. like if there was a situation where someone was already throwing punches that. Hitting the panic button would be a good idea but it wouldn't bring help /immediately/ just super fast and... but I didn't think about people getting hurt if we get into a fight, I guess that's a good point." Sophie lets out a little sigh and hrms thoughtfully. "So yeah maybe running is the better idea. I'm pretty okay at running," she adds with a little, slightly forced laugh. "So maybe we will be okay just as long as we stay in groups and.. and we should definitely have a fake story, I don't think it matters if we all have the same one but it probably isn't a good idea to go telling people our real names just in case."

Rasa leans down to whisper something in Ivan's ear when the group starts to notice the spiders everywhere. When ze stands back up, ze is covered in pixie dust. This does not bother hir in the least.

The young Russian focuses on Rasa for a moment and nods. The spiders start returning and returning rapidly as he gets to his feet and starts toward the door.

"Kris is right. Running is the best. Don't bother with 911, but use your phone's panic button. The school can call 911 for us. If you haven't got one, make sure to get the school to program your phone to have one before you sign out." Rasa starts following after Ivan, making sure to gather up all his stuff. "I'm going to take Ivan back to his room. You guys figure out teams, and I'll talk with you guys later, okay?" Hopefully that's okay, because ze can't stop the Ivan to keep him around enough to answer questions. "Also... um... Monkeys? I'm... going to... um... lay down." And ze is gooone.

Kris meeanwhile leans on Kai's shoulder at this point, apparently unable to really process that people are leaving. Because his cupcake? "KAI." She hisses this in a LOUD whisper. Like someone who doesn't know they are being loud,"KAI. YOUR CUPCAKE. It has created DANCING spiders. That are DANCING." She grabs a pillow to 'hide' behind, and then points at it,"They're dancing. THEY'RE DANCING." She hops up to her feet, and informs the room lazily,"I... want to dance. Somebody dance with me." And cue the spastic dancing. Because this is suddenly the very most important thing EVER.

Kai grins when Kris notes the spider's narrow escape, chewing with a wide grin. "They know I will not harm them," he says confidently. And then the spiders are returning, and he watches them go. Ivan and Rasa get a cupcake-wave in farewell, and he giggles at Kris' whispering. "They are not /spiders/," he says, regarding his cupcake with a crinkle of his eyes. "They are the bugs that are ladies. With little frilly hats. Like in the cartoon with the number 12." As if that means anything. But he apparently finds it /very/ funny in memory, and he giggles some more, clapping his hand over his mouth.

Because chaos breeds more chaos, right? Suddenly added to the swirl of pixie dust and spiders there is the unmistakable scent of /sulfur/. Or it would be unimstakable, if hallucinating wasn't going on. It coincides with a distinct sound, not quite unlike the sound of a pneumatic gun, although it is less 'PHOOM' and more emphatically 'BAMF'. Longterm students of the school will know this sound, and will also know that this probably means they ought to...

...Look up, where a blue-furred elf with a demon tail is currently glued to the ceiling, grinning a bright-fanged grin. Today Kurt is wearing dress slacks, a slightly rumpled white dress shirt, and a red vest. And no shoes, because shoes are for chumps. "Hallo, Kinder!"

Megan's hands slowly raise up to cover her mouth in horror at her mistake, and her wings slowly fold back. "Oh no," she mumbles to herself. Then sighs. "I'm so sorry, you guys. I didn't mean ... um. I didn't." And then Kurt's entering the room, and startling her /again/ with his very sudden, very startling appearance. Cue a second squeak, and once more, a flume of dust streaks forward covering the room. "Oh! Oh no! No no no!"

Kris stares at the cupcake as another wave of dust rolls over her,"Oh. My. God. I see it! And they're taking off their hats and waving." She waves back. At Kai's cupcake." Then she sees the 'elf' above her, and holds out her hands to the ceiling-dweller,"Elrond! Take me away to Rivendell!" Kurt is apparently a different elf right now. "Wheee!" Then she holds out her arms and makes wooshing sounds. Apparently, in her mind... she's flying.

Sophie, for her own part, just sort of mellows out in her armchair. All cozy-like. She even goes so far as to pull of her shoes, wiggling rainbow feet and jerking her head back a little in surprise at the sight. Dude. The COLORS. She looks around a little and manages a bit of a, "Guys, are you /seeing/ this this is-- what's going on?" Whoa, man. Letting out a little bit of a giggle, she cozies up a little, hugging arms around her knees. "Everything'll be cool anyway, we'll find Peter and everything's gonna be.. okay." At least, until there's that smell and that /bamf/ and she looks up and sees /Kurt/ and-- she's going to be so embarrassed later on, but for now what with hallucinations... there's an almost ear-piercing scream from this particular Kind.

Kai is pretty gone in the happy, but he recognizes the smell of brimstone from the hallways, and he lifts a hand in a wave. "It is not an Elrond," he says to Kris, waggling fingers at Kurt. "It is Professor Wagner. He is very nice." He smiles at the teacher, and lifts his cupcake. "There are cupcakes," he says. "The new girl, who is called Megan, brought them. They have things dancing on them." This sets off another spasm of giggles, and he twirls his half-eaten cupcake back and forth, to and fro. "They taste very good."

"Oh my god," Megan says, then squeezes her eyes shut. "Oh my god I'm so so so sorry, you guys. Oh geeze, um. It'll be okay, just don't ... don't do anything ... for a while. Stay here. Rest. Um. Oh god, I should find a," beat. "Teacher!" She looks up at the ceiling, and her big beady eyes widen. "Professor ... Wagner?" she asks him. "What do I do?"

Kurt's bright eyes blink ever so slowly as he takes in the vision below him. He opens his mouth to respond to being called 'Elrond' and then someone is /screaming/ and Kurt's tail starts to twitch almost violently behind him. What to do indeed? The mention of cupcakes distracts him for about five seconds, before he realizes Megan is looking up at him for help. "Ja, that is me, otherwise known as the INCREDIBLE Nightcrawler, et cetera, et cetera. Here...you are the new student, yes? With the, uh. The pixie dust?" He gestures with one big-fingered hand to mean the dust that is floating around the room. "Well, first things first, no need to keep infecting the others--Sophie, please, liebchen, settle down, it is only me--can you perhaps open a window? Not the door, mind, we want to blow it /out/ of the mansion, not /through/."

Kris just stands there making unending 'woooooosh' sounds. Apparently that is the height of mental exertion for her, right now. She's flying, and can't hear anyone THAT FAR UP IN THE AIR.

If nothing else, after that initial scream Sophie-- stopped screaming! But she is kind of whimpering a little and this is a totally /bad trip/ you guys. She's pushing herself against her chair as if trying to get away from Kurt, aka the INCREDIBLE Nightcrawler, and there may be some tears. And whimpering. And face-covering. "It's just Mr. Wagner it's just Mr. Wagner..." She takes deep deeeeep breaths and tries to regain her composure a little bit, slowly getting to the point where she can peek out between fingers and whimper, "Mister-- Professor Wagner, why are you covered in sparkles?"

Kai seems to come around a bit, after a few more giggles, and he pushes to his feet, leaving his cupcake on Kris' lap as he stands. "You should not be scared," he says to Sophie -- perhaps intending to be comforting, but it's a little frankly offered. "Professor Wagner is nice, and funny sometimes. He also teaches the fences, with the swords. He is not /sparkly/. He is fuzzy." And that exhausts his wealth of information on the man, so he moves to attend the task of opening the windows. He giggles every now and then, though, and he smiles throughout the process. Every window in the room is opened, allowing the spring air to come in and begin to dissipate the dust.

"I'll ... I'll open the window," says Megan. "Oh gosh, it'll be okay, guys! It doesn't last long and it's um, usually? Um? Been happy things?" She flutters over to the window, sending a little bit of the dust flying into the air around her, and then pulls it open swiftly, while Kai moves to get the rest of them. "Sorryyyy."

"Ach, no, no, calmly, I do not wish to be also caught in this..." Kurt says to Megan, pressing briefly against the ceiling as if he could avoid the upfloating dust that way. "There, that's better, danke, danke. Sophie, the last I checked I was not covered in sparkles, but if I am, I can say only that I have always been a very /fabulous/ elf. See? There you go, think happy thoughts, perhaps you will also get to fly. But if you do, no one is allowed to go to Never Neverland, I have not cleared that as a school-sanctioned field trip."

Sophie wipes her eyes with the back of her hand, shaking her head a little. "Yes you are they're like... rainbowy... and kind of all over." She blinks a few times, rubbing her eyes. The rainbow stockings she's wearing probably aren't helping. "I think there might have been something in that cupcake." She may have completely missed all discussion of pixie dust. "I feel /really weird/." There's a thoughtful frown, there, like she's trying to solve a /mystery/ that she only just now started paying attention to.

"Neverland is not real," Kai says with a wrinkle of his nose. "But it is a good story. With pirates, and fairies. They look like Megan, in the pictures." He points at the girl, just in case anyone forgot what she looks like. "I like the one with the pirates where they are looking for buried gold." He covers one eye as he moves back into the room, seemingly unaware of Sophie's uneasiness. "The one has a patch on his eye, like Mister Holland, and a leg made of wood." He narrows his eyes, trying to recall it. "The Island of Treasures? I think that is what it is called." He seems to be chatty, as the dust works it way out of his system, and he returns to the couch to flop back down next to Kris. "It is a very good story."

"I'm /so/ sorry," Megan says again, leaning up against the window. "You feel weird because of my dust. It's ... it sorta ..." she trails off, then sighs. "It sorta makes you high, I guess. Professor Wagner, am I going to get in trouble for using my powers on other students? I totally didn't mean to."

Kurt gives a little cough of a laugh, one hand over his lower face like he thinks his oversized digits might save him from dusting. "Treasure Island, mein jung Freund, with Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver. A very good story, there was a very nice animated adaptation done by Disney a few years ago, I quite enjoyed that too." There's something keen about Kurt's gaze as it sweeps over the children, especially Kai, as if he thinks he's spied a fellow swashbuckler. His tail flicks and he finds himself looking at Megan. "What? Oh, no, liebchen, no, accidents happen, especially when we are new to our powers. If you had used them on purpose, that would be one thing, but for now I think your penance can be to help solve the problem. Do you see a fan somewhere? If there is one, you should set it up so that it blows outwards, that will help the air recycle faster."

"There's not pirates there's just /colors/ and it's sparkly and it's weird and kinda.." Sophie shakes her head. "It's sorta like everything's all like... the same.. thing. Like a painting kinda and it's all rainbows and there's an alpaca on the pool table." This, of course, is perfectly normal. "I bet it's soft," she adds, thoughtfully, and pushes herself up to bare feet to pad softly across the room to aforementioned table and pushes herself up to climb on top of it.

"It is better to lose control of a power that makes people happy than something else," Kai offers helpfully from the couch. His discarded cupcake is reclaimed from Kris' lap, and he examines it critically. He wrinkles his nose, and tilts his head as if listening to someone. "I do not think anyone will make complaints about it." His gaze slips to Sophie with a small knit of concern that fades as he licks at the icing on the cupcake. He beams at Kurt. "Yes, that is it!" he says. "I saw a movie about it, but it was with real people. I am liking the book better."

"Phew!" Megan says, relieved by the news. "That's good, because I am /so/ not in control of this, yet. Most of the time. Um. Sorry," she says again, to poor Sophie, who is still apparently tripping pretty hard. "Anyways, it shouldn't last /too/ much longer, and the dust ... doesn't stick around. It's mostly already faded, I think. Uh. I made cupcakes," she says, motioning to them for Kurt's case. "As a sorta 'hi, I'm the new girl' thing. You are welcome to have some, Professor."

"Young Kai has a very valid point." Kurt says, slowly lowering his hand from in front of his face. His tail twitches again, and his eyes trail to the cupcakes. Temptation. "You made your own welcome cupcakes? Very resourceful. Here, I will come down, and if I start to see rainbow sparkles I will simply say nothing at all." Turning, the elf starts to clamber face-first down the wall, apparently completely unfazed by being upside-down. "Books are frequently better, one's own imagination is unlimited, cinema has all kinds of limitations. I do still love movies, though."

For her own part, Sophie has managed to climb up onto the pool table with just a bit of difficulty, and since she all but had to crawl up there she ends up almost flat on her face... and just opts to lie facedown, rubbing the felt top and mumbling, "'s fuzzy." She also keeps her eyes shut to block out any additional weird imagery, but she's not /asleep/ just. Calming down.

Kai watches as Kurt comes down the wall, his grin slipping wider. "Peter can do that!" he says, and then his cheer /fades/ as he recalls the conversation earlier. His cupcake doesn't seem quite as appetizing, now, though he picks at it. The mention of movies seems to bring him back, and he nods. "Oh, yes. I like the movies. There is one, with men with arrows, and swords, and an evil king who is a prince. It has no color." He waggles fingers at the plasma TV. "It was on the television over the week's end. It was very good. The Robbing Hood."

Megan giggles at Kai, then rolls her eyes and moves to claim a cupcake of her own, at long last. She picks strawberry. "Annnnyways, I think I have caused enough of a ruccous for one day; so um, I'm going to go to my room and feel like an idiot there for a while, okay?"

"Ja, but I did it first, and with more style." Kurt chirrups to Kai brightly, doing a little tumble down the wall to end up on his feet. Tail sweeping back and forth, he moves to where the cupcakes are, reviewing the remaining selection with interest in his exprssion. "I prefer the black and white pictures also. The Golden Age of cinema! Have you heard of Errol Flynn?" He glances to Kai, and then gives Megan a sympathetic smile. "Do not worry about it. If you should like later I can share with you many stories of how my powers misfired very often when I was younger. You are here to learn, I am certain you will learn!"

"I think I'm gonna head back to my room too," Sophie mumbles; she's suddenly standing right next to Kurt and Kai, and even without pixie dust intoxication she doesn't look entirely solid. Plus, she's also still lying on the pool table. Kurt is probably aware that Sophie can astrally project, though Kai might be in for a surprise. "I, uh.. I'm not feeling so weird anymore but I should probably take a nap or something." Half-formed Sophie image turns then and heads out of the rec room through a wall, leaving not-exactly-conscious Sophie body behind.

Kai BLINKS when Kurt tumbles-rolls to the floor, and he looks impressed by the show of acrobatics. "I do not know if Peter can do /that/," he agrees, and smiles as he lifts a hand in farewell as Megan makes her exit. "It was very nice to meet you," he says to the girl. "Your cupcakes are very tasty."

Sophie's departure gets a widening of his eyes, and then a sudden look of understanding. "Ah. So that is what explains /that/," he murmurs to himself. But then Kurt is talking about cinema, and he leans forward with a little bobble of his head. "Oh, yes! This is the name of the man in the Robbing Hood movie! There was another one, with a ship, but some other students came in to play games, so I didn't see it." He settles into the couch, beaming at the teacher. "Did he make very many movies like those?"

A statement that is almost assuredly guaranteed in a detailed lesson on the finer swashbuckling points in the career of one Mister Errol Flynn, as delivered by Professor Wagner. At least this class comes with cupcakes.
