Katherine loves to see the beauty in things most of the time but, when things become simply too hard, she finds herself becoming a reclusive person. The perspective from others, Katherine may seem to be pleasant to be around but they don't know much about her outside of mission work as she tends to keep her personal life separate from work. She is an individual who loves helping people by nature but it is amplified by her knowing that her family would never come around to accepting her.

xxxxx Katherine is a young woman who stands at the height of 5'8" (172.72 cm) and whose body favors the toned athletic physique. She has crystal blue eyes and natural vibrant red hair that she oftentimes dyes blonde when she feels that she needs a change. Her skin tone favors a more rich golden hue due to her obsession with being outdoors.

xxxxx To her fellow class graduates at Xavier's School, she would be known as a silent girl who mostly kept to herself and was pretty athletic. To her graduate school peers, she is known as a well-spoken and dedicated person to counseling. Due to her favor for supporting in the background, Katherine isn't known to many others outside of these groups.
History
xxxxx Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Katherine Newman was the youngest and only girl to Clarke and Douglas Newman and lived in a typical suburban neighborhood for the beginning of her childhood everything was picture perfect as she performed very well in both school and in her hobbies which included gymnastics and Rubik's cube competitions as her parents were adamant about their children being "well-rounded" and "dynamic" for the future and only a balance between athletics and academics seemed to the answer. Despite her apparently pleasant upbringing, the Newman family was the furthest from perfect as her parents seemed to see her brother as objects to flaunt versus emotionally sentient beings which resulted in an emotional disconnect between the children and their parents. Katherine loved her brother with every fiber in her being but at the age of 12, everything would change forever. One beautiful and clear day, Katherine and her brother, Harvey, were outside playing basketball in their culdesac. Following one of her shots that had missed, Harvey decided to run out into the residential street to retrieve the rolling ball. She saw off to the distance that a truck seemed to be racing down the street towards her brother who seemed to be none the wiser. With immense panic, the girl ran to the edge of the sidewalk and demanded that Harvey get out of the street right away but he refused to listen and before she knew it she found herself pushing Harvey out of the way, squeezed her eyes shut, and braced herself for the collision. What happened instead was unusual as she found that when she opened her eyes a brilliantly purple force had expanded from the girl and covered the wheels which suddenly stopped in their track, making the back of the truck lift up slightly before slamming back onto all four wheels. Confused and scared, Katherine reached out for her brother who screamed in horror and called her a monster before running home to tell their parents. She felt numb as the cops were called and no real answers were found about what had happened and since that moment she became a black sheep to the entire household as if they were afraid of her as all of the emotional pressures had made the oddest things happen in Katherine's presence, such as things being tossed across rooms. A few weeks had passed and an individual from the Xavier School presented her family with the opportunity to attend and before they could even ensure their daughter's safety, her parents had signed her off to be rid of her. This hurt the child immensely as her first year at XS was the worst with her acting out and her powers becoming more impulsive and unpredictable. Over the course of her remaining years, Katherine was able to not only accept herself as a mutant and her powers but also that her family was never going to accept her for who she was. . . this translated into her favoring Counseling and Psychology and at the age of 18, She was accepted into New York University for Psychology and had performed so well that at the age of 21 she had been admitted into the accelerated master’s program that would allow her to get both her undergraduate and master’s degree when she graduates. Now at the age of 22, Katherine is an interning childhood trauma counselor by day and a member of the X-Men in her free time as she wishes to help others just like her.\|
Powers
xxxxx Telekinesis: At the peak of her power, Katherine is capable of extraordinary feats from harnessing her natural talents and her understanding of Psychology. As of right now, she is able to create manifest telekinetic energy that can defend from moderate physical damage from hand, fists, and semi-automatic weaponry within 10 feet. She is capable of flight and moving objects along with their intricate parts (toy robot= moves legs / Forklift = lifts platform) robots and other complex machineries are exempt. Through her studies at Xavier's School in Psionic Defense, Katherine mastered her ability to hide her surface thoughts from exploring minds. Katherine is able to harness telekinetic energy on her extremities which can create distance between her and her opponents by pushing them back. She is also able to utilize her telekinetic energy to create projectile attacks that range 60 feet and can cause a 6 feet man to stumble. Other than that Reagan is typically a supporting character in combat. Despite her psionic prowess, Katherine suffers from hangover-like symptoms when she recovers which typically lasts 6-10 hours.

Trivia
During her time in Xavier's School, Katherine was an advanced gymnast. Her favorite foods are shrimp and sushi. A few of her hobbies include meditating, exercising, and shopping. Katherine Newman was a part of the XS class of 2016. She joined the X-Men in Mid-August of 2020.
