xxxxxBorn in Cairo, Egypt, Nekara Kemsit was immersed into the rich history and culture of her homeland from the start as her parents were both professors working in the historical museum, and their home also looked very much like a museum with various artifacts of the past everywhere. This made it only natural that she gravitated towards similar lines of interests, becoming fascinated with history of Egypt, and later history in general.
With such background, it was no wonder that she excelled in the subject at school, and later in university, becoming a professor of history at as early age as 25. However, despite her excellent papers, it became increasingly hard for her to find actual employment matching her skills once the general opinion towards mutants started to deteoriate, as while she was not incredibly obviously one, her predatory 'heritage' still made it fairly obvious to notice that something was not quite right about her.
Speaking of her mutant status, she had been known mutant for quite a long time before that already, or well, known 'weird' more like it as mutant wasn't really a household name back then yet. Her eyes changing color from brown to green as part of her puberty was the first sign of that, along with it came this unnerving presence that made most people nervous around her, though generally nobody could put a finger on exactly what about her caused that, as she did become very beautiful as well. Needless to say, this quality made it very difficult for her to form any lasting relationships, though as she was focused mostly on her studies anyway, that was not overly traumatic to her at the time, it only started to become a major problem once she was starting to get turned down even from jobs that she was massively overqualified to because of this new rising anti-mutant sentiment.
She was starting to run out of ideas on what to do when she saw something in the news that gave her hope, news about a school specifically for mutants, all the way in the USA, other side of the world. She contacted the school and explained her situation and skills, and they managed to somehow arrange all the papers to get her a citizenship and a job as a teacher in the school. It took most of her money, and some help from her parents also, to pay for all the costs to move there and get all her personal things shipped as well. Her parents have never judged her because of her mutant status, but they also understood how she could never reach her full potential in Cairo with the situation being what it is, so while they were sad to see her move so far away, they were still supportive of it since it could get her on the beginning of better life.
Her actual mutation is lot more than just creepy eyes, although she has managed to keep it fairly well hidden, and apart from her parents, nobody else knew just how different she was, which allowed her to be fairly vague, even if not outright lying, as she made her registration upon arriving to the new country. The thought of being able to actually freely take on her more primal forms without worrying about someone seeing her and calling the cops is quite fascinating to her, although she is still somewhat uncertain of if that can actually be true.

xxxxxDisconcerting Presence: In her human form only, she emanates pheromones which, while too faint for people with normal senses to detect, affect on a subconsious level, making most people nervous around her, her more predatory nature in a way seeping through. She does not have any control over this continuous effect, and doesn't even know what exactly is causing this effect on people around her. Those who are more accustomed to the presence of predators, such as for example big game hunters or lion tamers, would be less affected by this effect, or not at all. And those mutants with more animalistic sides that could be considered predators themselves, are instead attracted and might feel kinship with her. She is completely unaware of this reverse effect as she has yet to meet any such people.
xxxxxEerie Eyes: Her only obvious physical mutation in her human form are the very vibrantly green pupils of her eyes, which also have a strange almost hypnotic effect, that she can focus on someone with her gaze, though instead of mesmerizing, it will frighten, causing the target to get very nervous and uncertain and very likely to back down and come to the conclusion that it might be better for them to be somewhere else. In her non-human forms, not only are her eyes entirely green and slitted, gleaming in the dark, but also this effect is greatly magnified, striking pure terror into the target instead, making it very likely for them to just straight up try to run away. This effect requires her to actually intentionally focus on someone and doesn't accidently go off. Also the target needs to be able to clearly see her eyes to be affected.
xxxxxShapeshifting: Her main mutation, is a dual-nature she has and ability to shift between the forms of a human, a large cat, and a bipedal hybrid form combining many of the advantages of both. This is not only physical either as she has a more primal side to her mentally as well, driven by instincts, which comes closer to the surface the more animalistic her form is, although she can usually keep these primal urges in control, it is however possible for her to lose control and temporarily succumb to more instinctive, primal behaviour, during which she would become extremely dangerous, especially since the most likely cause for this to happen would be combat situation where she either gets wounded, or angry, or hungry. This has so far never happened and as such she is icly unaware of her capability of such frenzy.
The three forms:
-Human: In this form she has no special physical capabilities.
-Feline: A large black cat, just slightly smaller than a panther, she has greatly increased strength, dexterity, and speed in this form, like one would expect from a large predatory feline, able to easily crush bones with her jaws, and having strong claws that can easily cut through flesh, and also cling to many surfaces, making her an excellent climber. She can also run fast on four legs, move very silently, jump surprisingly long distances, and has excellent night vision, as well as heightened senses of hearing and smell, able to recognize people by scent and track with it. She however also has limitations because of the form, not able to speak, and having greatly reduced ability to manipulate objects due to having feline paws instead of hands.
-Hybrid: A bipedal form that looks like a strange mix between human and feline features, she grows around a foot in height from her human form, though does not really gain much mass, becoming very lean with long and thin limbs, retaining a tail from her feline form, as well as digitigrade shape of legs and a prominently feline head. This form combines many of the advantages of both sides of her dual-nature, retaining the ability to speak and hands to manipulate things with, while gaining the heightened senses, natural weapons, and greatly enhanced agility, coordination, balance, and reaction speed of her feline form. Though she is not nearly as strong as in her feline form, possess as good endurance, or able to run as fast, being on two legs, she is incredibly nimble and flexible. She also heals from injuries at an accelerated rate in this form, measured in minutes for minor injuries, to hours for serious ones, this still consumes just as much energy as if she would have healed them at normal rate, just faster, which tends to make her hungry as a result.

| Semi-obvious Mutant - While not really standing out from a crowd as an obvious freak, as her only physical oddity in her human form are very vibrantly green pupils, which could be checked off as colored contact lenses, almost anyone spending any amount of time in near proximity of her will definetily get a really unnerving vibe that makes it fairly easy to notice that -something- is off about her, even if not exactly what.

| Coming out of the Closet - Has so far been forced to mostly hide her more animalistic side, and in more open-minded environment now will start to explore that side of herself more, which will likely take some getting used to and might lead to all kinds of interesting situations.

| Tough Luck in Love - Due to the pheromones she emanates, has had really hard time maintaining any kind of close relationships despite being actually very beautiful, and social by nature. This has left her rather wary of actually letting people close in the first place to save herself from more grief, and instead focus more on her work and helping others to at least see them happy.
