I'm on a Highway To Hell
Introduction xxxxxA poor kid from a trailer park in Kansas, Derek isn’t sure how he got lucky and ended up at a place like Xavier’s. History xxxxxDerek was born the older of two, his little sister, Daisy is a year younger. He grew up in Gardner, Kansas to young parents. His father was mostly absent from his and his younger sisters life. His mutant mother raised him and Daisy until Derek was thirteen and she disappeared. For the last three years he’s felt responsible for looking out for his little sister, much to her chagrin. Daisy’s powers manifested a year after Derek’s and shortly after the siblings were offered a place at Xavier’s. Powers xxxxxSeismic control - Derek can cause seismic vibrations on any rigid surface akin to an earthquake. Currently he can only cause very week vibrations in the earth but with practice he’ll be able cause stronger quakes. Where ever Derek is touching is the epicenter of the vibrations, not just on earth surface but any structure he’s touching. Currently he can only cause an earthquake with a magnitude of five on the Mercalli Intensity Scale, with practice he will be able to create stronger quakes. His powers work on organic and inorganic surfaces but not anything with organic tissue (ie humans/animals). Derek also has a spatial awareness to the surface he’s touching that allows him to control which direction the seismic waves travel. He’s immune to his own vibrations. Derek only has practice in suppressing his powers and doesn’t know how to use them. As he learns to use his powers, in the beginning he’ll tire easily as it’s physically draining on him. As he builds up endurance and more stamina he’ll be able to create stronger seismic waves and more often. Trivia Derek's a pretty awful student academically. Derek has a younger sister, Daisy, who is also a mutant at Xavier's. Bad habits include - smoking and drinking though it might prove difficult at Xavier's.
