"Dreams Don't Die."

Introduction

xxxxxWith an unshakeable belief in Charles Xavier’s dream of peace, Scott Summers was one of the first gifted youngsters educated by Xavier’s School. Once an uncontrollable living weapon, he is now an accomplished teacher and administrator, as well as the leader of the underground mutant task force X-Men. He has the utmost confidence in his own students now, even if they don’t.

History

xxxxxScott grew up in Albany, living a fairly normal life in suburbia until age 15, when his mutant power manifested and caused a terrifying catastrophe. Soon thereafter, he was adopted into Charles Xavier’s budding private school, and molded into an upstanding gentleman who latched onto Xavier’s dream of peace more than anyone else.

xxxxxHe has since graduated into the leader of the X-men through his skill and courage.

xxxxxMore to come.

Powers

xxxxx Scott has one of the most iconic mutant powers in the world: the ability to shoot powerful red beams of concussive force out of his eyes. Unfortunately, this is a curse - he cannot shut it off. His body, down to his eyelids, is capable of resisting this ever-present stream of power effortlessly. The upper limits of concussive force are unknown - he's never stopped to check, after he acquired a ruby-quartz powdered visor from Professor Xavier, not even once. However, it is known that these beams can both be concentrated by focus and strength of will, and reflected off of various surfaces, especially if they are naturally reflective of light.

Connections

X-ceptional Friends

  • Rogue – Scott has helped save Rogue’s life multiple times and remains deeply interested in her well-being and happiness – though sometimes it may appear he is more interested in her involvement with the School.
  • Jennifer – Professional courtesy aside, Scott and Jennifer have proven to be fast friends. He holds her in extremely high regard, and they have found their interest in motorcycles and the students to be very compatible. Their dry wit together is dangerous.
  • Jackson – A former protégé turned professor, Scott and Jackson have much more in common than most people realize. He dearly wants Jackson to succeed, even if that means he has to struggle, but Summers himself struggles to express both his pride in and expectations of Jax.
  • Mariot – Scott is pleased with Mariot’s inculcation into the X-Men, and has confidence in her abilities, with the expectation he can lean on her should he need to.
  • Jean Grey (A.K.A. Phoenix) – Scott & Jean’s relationship has been a staple of both of their lives for a long time. Wolverine’s influence has put an undue strain on them, though, and in the wake of the Liberty Island attack, they have proven distant.
  • Hank McCoy – As two of the most senior X-men around, Scott and the Beast are fast friends and will remain so until the end of time, probably.
  • Richard - He likes motorcycles - good enough for Scott. Seems to be flush with cash, a surprising amount for somebody so young. Someone to work on.
  • Kurt - Peter and Kurt are on good terms professionally and fairly amicable besides.

X-ceptional Students

  • Ivan – Summers has observed that Ivan is an atypically outstanding student and he wants to channel the young man’s uniquely understated positive energies into a constructive outlet to demonstrate to the young man he is capable of great works.
  • Peter – With the intention of grooming him to be a leader, Scott gives Peter opportunities to prove himself, learn, and grow without reservation, encouraging him to use his head when it seems so much easier to rely on reflex.
  • Faelan – A student whose position reminds Scott deeply of himself. Scott has a personal stake in his growth, and worries that his instruction and distant mentorship will not be enough to help him grow before he gets out of the School.
  • Kris - Well-appreciated advisee. They instantly clicked, and with a measured understanding of her unique issues, Summers wants more than anything than to provide an environment in which Kris can discovered a potential that does not lie couched in war.
  • Kira - Quickly welcoming her into Xavier's School with open arms, Scott wants to make her final year of high school count.
  • Megan - Charmed by her personable attitude, Scott advises Megan as best he knows how - he considers himself lucky to have such an agreeable student, though she is very good at getting stuff under the radar.
  • Kai - Scott would like very much to see Kai find himself at the school.

Why do you X-ist?

  • Logan Otherwise known as “Wolverine,” he has been a thorn in Scott’s side since day one. When push comes to shove, Summers and Logan can work together for the common good, but that presumes Scott’s patience in the meantime is strictly limitless. It is not.

The Shitlist

Pray you never end up here.

Razor - Scott may have been able to handle himself with her decently thus far, but he will certainly be more wary in the future. Fucked with his bike. That's a big no no.

Lasertown U.S.A Population: Everybody

  • Summers teaches Metal Fabrication, a bunch of vocational classes, Trig and Geometry, and even a Cooking course.
  • Scott's encountered a laundry list of people through his contacts through the School and on his own - if he has a reason to know you, let's hash it out.
