Introduction

xxxxxLogan is... Logan. The Lone Wolf. The Solitary Man. The Weapon. The Wolverine. He is also just a man trying to make his way in the world (a world that hates and fears what he is - a mutant). He has a past - except he cannot remember it. He has a love - except she belongs to someone else. He has friends - except, well... he doesn't trust easily. For the chance at a home, a family he has thrown his lot in with Professor Xavier and the X-Men, and lives at the mansion.

What could possibly go wrong?

History

xxxxxThe majority of Logan's past is unknown (in-character), given the loss of his memories. OOC however, it is detailed in the films, and therefore, only a summary shall exist here. He was born in Canada (circa mid-1800s), with the name "James Howlett". He is the half-brother of Victor (Sabretooth), and the bastard son of the Howletts' groundskeeper, Thomas Logan.

xxxxxHe lived (and fought) though many wars before being contracted by the Weapon X program (black ops) and given his Adamantium skeleton. After the betrayal of his superiors, and the loss of his memory, he went rogue - moving from place to place, making money as hired muscle, manual labour and cage/ring fighter.

xxxxxThat's where he met Rogue, Professor Xavier, the X-Men - and everything changed. Logan fought with them against Magneto on Liberty Island, and then left for Canada chasing a lead on his past. He has only just returned to New York...

Powers

xxxxxHealing Factor: Logan's healing ability is uncharted. He has survived a variety of normally-fatal wounds and is immune to diseases, drugs (any foreign chemical - inc alcohol). He is... nigh immortal.

xxxxxSuperhuman Physique: Logan's body is sculpted as one would expect of a living weapon. His strength & stamina are several times stronger than any Olympic athlete (but not one to pick up cars and play "catch" with BMWs). He has feline grace, balance and agility (quite the acrobat), and can go for days without sleep. There has been some debate about Logan's ability to SWIM (given the extra weight of adamantium); he CAN swim, but with difficulty. He does not like water (with Logan's hair, who would?).

xxxxxSuperhuman Senses: Logan's senses are on par with those of cats, wolves & bloodhounds. This works both for and against him - i.e. "sensory overload". He can be overcome by powerful, nauseating odours, blinding lights or deafening sounds. This is probably the most significant weakness Logan has, aside from his berserker rage working against him.

xxxxxEnhanced Skeleton: Logan has three retractable "bone-claws" in each of his forearms that can be thrust out between the knuckles of each hand. On their own, the bone-claws are deadly-sharp, but they (along with his entire skeletal-structure) have been laced with a rare metal known as "adamantium". Adamantium is nigh-indestructible, although vulnerable to magnetism (which Logan discovered the hard way). It makes Logan's mass considerably higher, but also means he can pack one hell of a punch.

Connections

People I Can Stand

  • Rogue - Logan & Rogue share a special bond, given that their powers make them both "outsiders" - that, and he's nearly killed her... she's nearly killed him... it's a "love/hate" thing. Rogue is the closest, dearest friend Logan has.
  • Kurt - Elf. That is what Logan calls him. Elf's cool, a friend - but he can be damn annoying at times too. Logan hates - really hates - the Elf's 'brimstone dimension'. It takes DAYS to get the smell of sulfur out!
  • Jim Morgan - He and Logan share a couple of similar interests (smoking, the outdoors, snarking...). Jim proved rather.. useful when some younger students nearly drowned in the lake. A very... down to earth kinda guy. He has also gotten himself and Logan into some trouble, which Logan has made a point to remember...
  • Shane - Shark-Boy (to Logan at least). Logan likes the kid as much as he can be expected to like someone he has only just met. Shane is hot-headed, snarky and just a bit rebellious... in other words, a good kid. Logan has agreed to teach him a thing or two about self-defense, survival, combat etc... Should be fun.
  • Peter - Web-Head, Bugsy, Incy-Wincy... Logan has many names for this kid. Pete should come with a warning: Do Not Feed Caffeine, Red Bull, or Jelly-Beans. Logan thinks he is thoroughly annoying, but has a good heart - and proves somewhat useful from time to time. Logan also intends some serious payback for certain things Pete has called him...
  • Rasa - Advisee. Logan doesn't pretend to understand Rasa a great deal, but (for different reasons) they both have trouble fitting in, and he can appreciate that. Rasa shares an aversion to telepaths with Logan as well (with the exception of a couple). Logan is now teaching Rasa some new skills, after certain recent events have left Rasa without some others...
  • Kris - Advisee. After one combat training sim, Logan knows another 'living weapon' when he sees one. It's not the mutant power, but the mutant herself, and already he has taken it upon himself to help her deal with 'life' when all you've known is death.
  • Jean Grey (A.K.A. Phoenix) - Logan had eyes for Jean, but as her heart belongs to Scott (Cyclops), he has not been able to pursue this relationship very much. Nevertheless, he counts her among his friends, along with a few of the other X-Men.

People I Tolerate Coz the Bald Guy Says So

  • Scott Summers (A.K.A. Cyclops, Teacher's Pet, Boyscout, One-Eye, Dweeb...) - ...is a dick. Actually, he and Logan cannot stand each other, but they are allies and can work together reasonably well - if they must. Prof X says so.
  • Hive - Another telepath. Logan generally does not like telepaths (unless they're fearless, bald leaders - or gorgeous red-heads). Hive managed to get into his bad books, so there! (not that Logan is pig-headed, stubborn, misanthropic or anything...) heh!

People I need ta SNIKT!

  • Victor Creed (A.K.A. Sabretooth)
  • Eric Lensherr (A.K.A. Magneto)
  • Raven Darkholme (A.K.A. Mystique)
  • Roger - tho' Logan doesn't know the guy's name. Rogie killed some civilians on Logan's watch. Logan's gonna SNIKT!
  • And many, many more...

And everything in between

  • Logan has taken a teaching position at Xavier's School (focusing on physical education, survival, self-defense, martial-arts etc... He would be often found in the Danger Room. He is a Sensei in the students' Martial Arts Club, and a sponsor of the Archery Club, and Cross Country Club (running, tracking...)
  • Also, Logan has many "forgotten contacts" (both friend and foe alike). If one should wish to perhaps be such a contact, to explore a past as yet not depicted in the movieverse, I'm open to ideas!
