xxxxxShelby is a menace. Also a teenager. The latter will eventually cure itself but it remains to be seen if she'll ever get over the first. Quick of wit, quick of tongue and with a calculating eye, she likes to think of herself as pretty hot stuff.

xxxxxShelby doesn't share a lot of her true history. She's been on the streets since she was thirteen. She plays the guitar, the banjo, she sings, and she's pretty good at all three. She's even better with art supplies. She has a chip on her shoulder the size of Alaska and the tendency to jump to conclusions.
xxxxxXavier's has taken her in, on full scholarship. Someone, somewhere, has probably started a betting pool on how long it will take for Shelby to be expelled.

| Powers

xxxxx Shelby can animate images no matter what surface they decorate or material they're crafted from. She has to have line of sight, the images must be two-dimensional, and pictures larger than the size of a human body require strict concentration, but otherwise she has full control over her ability. Tattoos can become animate, or paintings in galleries, or children's books. If it is drawn, inked, chalked, painted, sketched or even scuffed in the dirt, she can have them come to life and frolic over the surface in any way she chooses. She can even switch them between surfaces, although this breakthrough was somewhat traumatic.
xxxxxHer next goal is to see if she can have them lift up and amble off of their supporting medium; so far this have been beyond the scope of her reach.

Shelby's latest enterprise: she's set up a YouTube channel and has begun to upload videos of herself covering various songs. Her goal is to whip up interest in herself as a solo artist, though the channel's description leans heavily on has played with/is friends with Ryan Black!.
