{{Tab}}Kaylynn plays the part of a southern belle quite well. Hospitality is ingrained in her and socializing comes quite easy. She has a friendly demeanor and is always ready with a smile, but there's more to her than what's on the surface. It takes quite a bit, but once the flood gates open there's something to fear about the darkness and anger that's shown so rarely.

{{Tab}} Kaylynn Silayev was born April 4th. 1992. It had been her grandfather that first brought her family to to the South from Russia, and it in his footsteps that she followed. Though her parents found their callings elsewhere, Kaylynn was glued to her grandfather's side and in turn...his chocolaterie. Her first memories are inside the walls of that shop, watching her grandfather mix the chocolate, peering over the counter to see him mold the individual beauties, tasting his newest inventions. It was then, at such a young age, that she decided to follow in his footsteps.
{{Tab}}Kaylynn took after her grandfather and began studying under him at a young age. It's thank to him that she's now a successful chocolatier, and if it weren't for her powers manifesting she would likely have taken over his shop by now. Unfortunately, a rift grew between her and her parents and eventually she made the long move to NYC. After she had worked at Au Petit Chocolatier for some time, the owner passed it onto her. Now she spends her days selling chocolate treats and homeopathic chocolates. Who new that those odd remedies could taste so good?

{{Tab}}Unfortunately her mother had different plans, she expected Kaylynn to follow in her footsteps as a debutante. Kaylynn dealt with it quite well really. The dance lessons, the tea parties, the volunteering, the socializing...she was groomed to be a southern socialite and she was. Though she chafed under the restraints, she tolerated them and in turn her mother tolerated Kaylynn's confection obsession. That precarious balance couldn't last forever, and things went haywire when she manifested her mutant abilities.

{{Tab}}There are times when teenagers have dark thoughts, and Kaylynn would often work out her anger while making chocolates. It was in one of these fits of anger that she imagined how much she'd like to poison her mother. She didn't mean it deep down, but her emotions had the better of her at the time. It would be easy to slip a bit of something into the chocolates. Nothing too deadly, but enough to hurt...something a bit like cyanide. She didn't realize that when she was thinking about all this, she was affecting her creations too.  The chocolates were offered to her mother and soon the woman was rushed off to the hospital. Her grandfather, who had watched her create the chocolates, knew that the teenager had put nothing in them...but her mother's symptoms and reaction said otherwise. It was he that put two and two together, and after urging Kaylynn to repeat what she had done while keeping a different drug in mind, his suspicions were confirmed. The girl had a mutation, one that somehow allowed her to create chocolate that affected the human body.

{{Tab}}Despite the discovery her mutation, Kaylynn's grandfather continued to love her. Her father was shocked to say the least and though he refused to eat what she made any more, he continued to show her the same affection he always had. Her mother was a different story. There were hysterics, tantrums, fits of anger, and numerous objects that were all directed at the teenager. In her mother's eyes, Kaylynn had attempted murder, she didn't believe it was an accident. It soon came to a point where the girl could no longer remain in the house and her grandfather took her in.

{{Tab}}With her grandfather's urging, Kaylynn continued studying under him to become a chocolatier. She was well on her way to becoming her grandfather's successor when the woman ended up in a bit of trouble. Others would say she went off the deep end when she shot a man in the leg and beat the crap out of him, but she had her reasons and rather good ones too. Still, it ruined her reputation and she had no choice but to leave town. An old friend of Kaylynn's grandfather owned a small store in New York City and soon she made the long move there.

{{Tab}}It wasn't long before her grandfather's friend retired and the shop, Au Petit Chocolatier, was handed to her. The front business was a regular chocolate shop, but thanks to Kaylynn's power she was able to create a small side business. Homeopathic chocolate was the name of the game, though she didn't quite call it that.  Her customers swore that her 'natural' remedies worked, and they did. What they didn't know was that her products were mutant-enhanced, and there are still only a small handful of people that know her secret. Now, with a nice little profit, she spends her days among the turmoil of the city.

{{Tab}}Using her power always produces side effects (nausea, vomiting, pain, etc). The more she uses her power , the more backlash she experiences. These are less severe when she is using her powers on the chocolate she makes, and more sever when she is using it on her own body. She can usually churn out 3 or 4 small batches of 'special' chocolate before she's overcome with fatigue, flu-like symptoms, and pain. Larger batches and ones that produce more potent results lead to earlier onset side effects. Kaylynn's body can only take so much before it begins to give out. Overuse of her power leads to her passing out and being left bedridden for a day or two. During this time, she is unable to use her power at all.

{{Tab}} Kaylynn is remarkable in the kitchen...as far as sweets are concerned. She can make chocolate, candy, and almost any kind of dessert you can imagine with incredible ease. Everything else, not so much. She's hopeless at proper food items.

{{Tab}}After having lived in the south for almost entire life, it isn't surprising that Kaylynn picked up a few things. She's true to southern stereotypes in many ways...the woman excels at use of firearms and is an superb horseback rider. She's also quite good with a knife and tends to keep one on her (especially if she can't have a gun).

Happiness. Simple as a glass of chocolate or tortuous as the heart. Bitter. Sweet. Alive.
Introduction

xxxxxKaylynn always has a friendly smile at the ready, but don't let her usually soft demeanor fool you. The southern belle has hidden sass and a somewhat violent side that it's best to avoid.

History

xxxxxKaylynn took after her grandfather and began studying under him at a young age.

Powers

xxxxxRumors always seem to float about this food being an aphrodisiac or that one boosting immune health, but when it comes to the chocolates that Kaylynn makes...the rumors are true. Her chocolates really do affect the human body, and she merely needs to think of the intended effect while creating them to make that happen. Her chocolates are mostly used to produce desirable (medicinal-type) reactions such as one that relieves pain or another that helps wounds heal faster. She can however produce a few undesirable effects with her chocolates as well. Using these less than savory chocolates she can produce pain, nausea and vomiting, and other toxic symptoms. Alternatively, Kaylynn can use her body as a conduit instead of chocolate. As a result, other living beings that come into contact with it her blood experience the effect that she is thinking of. It takes more than a few drops of blood to take effect on another being. A slash to the palm usually produces the minimal amount needed.

xxxxxUsing her power always produces side effects (nausea, vomiting, pain, etc).

Skills

xxxxxKaylynn is remarkable in the kitchen...as far as sweets are concerned. She can make chocolate, candy, and almost any kind of dessert you can imagine with incredible ease. Everything else, not so much. She's hopeless at proper food items.

xxxxxAfter having lived in the south for almost entire life, it isn't surprising that Kaylynn picked up a few things. She's true to southern stereotypes in many ways...the woman excels at use of firearms and is an superb horseback rider. She's also quite good with a knife and tends to keep one on her (especially if she can't have a gun).
