Introduction

xxxxxEzekiel is a tall, strong, harsh-looking man. Years in the public eye have taught him to keep his guard up. When he quickly, and almost inevitably, warms up to you, he is charismatic and quick with jokes and anecdotes.

History

xxxxxAll seven of his years playing professional baseball have been with the Washington Nationals. Through that time, he faded from a promising rookie to a has-been. Half way through the 2012 season, however, his luck turned around. He played faster and harder than he ever had before.

xxxxxDuring the off-season, rumors spread about contract negotiations, switching teams, and doping. In late January, it all came to light. Ezekiel was a mutant, and he’d been using his powers to win games.

xxxxxHis wife, Nora Hopkins, began divorce procedures immediately. She could not be associated with a mutant and keep her clout as a member of Humanity First.

xxxxxWith no better option, Ezekiel vanished.

Powers

xxxxxEzekiel can manipulate the coefficient of friction in his vicinity, but he’s completely ignorant of this. The physical manifestation of his power is that he can run without suffering wind resistance. If pushed he would be able to cause an assailant to slip and fall, or run in place.

Connections

Friends

  • Alexandrine -- Friendly, and brought up the idea of teaching and dancing, though probably not both at once.
  • Jackson -- One of the good guys. Brings up the question, does Ezekiel want to be a good guy?

Foes

  • Nora Hopkins -- Soon-to-be ex-wife. He hopes she doesn't decide it's easier to have him shot.

And everything in between

  • coming soon
