Introduction
|
xxxxx the matriarch of the tessier family was thought dead for years. not one to be upstaged by her children, though, like matt and sera before her she is making a conspicuous return from her presumptive grave. with the liberation of most prometheus captives and the labs shut down, elie tessier is turning her attention once more to new york, and the family she left behind many years ago.
xxxxx though her primary goal is to win her way back into her childrens' lives -- and most particularly the life of her beloved eldest son -- given their history it will not be a straightforward path. in her efforts to win her way back into the heart of her favorite son she plans to capitalize on the position of her least favorite -- armed with charm and a terrifyingly insidious mutation, she is setting her sights on the powerful positions at the Hellfire Club's inner circle, with an eye to shaking up its current roster and installing matt on the seat she believes he so rightfully deserves.
xxxxx not the throne, of course, that's for her. but bishop? the current bishop is obviously inferior, the court could do so much better. she plans to make sure of it.

Content Notes
|
xxxxx Both Elie and Carmen’s history with their children include some amount of significant and disturbing child abuse, a fact which may come up in scenes if it is relevant, though nobody will have to engage with that specific history if they do not want to. Her power itself is also a fairly disturbing one, and there will be a high degree of (IC) gaslighting/coercion/mental manipulation throughout this plot that players should be aware of.

Errata
|
xxxxx This plot is likely to significantly shake up the roster at the Hellfire Club’s Inner Circle. The InCi is a group primed for backstabbing, and Elie’s arrival – and scheme to oust their powerful Bishop and take over the court for her own purposes – is likely to cause a large amount of unrest and factionalization among the Court, potentially including ejecting some of its current members. This is planned to be a temporary shake-up, with the option for people who are displaced to return to their former positions IF they choose. Likely, a new White Court monarch will end up installed after Elie’s reign of terror is over; if there are viable and interested PCs perhaps it will be one of them, otherwise likely the players will have to decide on a suitable NPC.

xxxxx This plot is being run OOCly by the Tessier players, with Z and fosse primarily playing Elie, but with a high level of on-channel consultation about plot direction. ping @Inner Circle on the discord if you are looking to be involved in the oncoming coup, @charismacheque or @zephistopheles for Elie-specific scene requests.
