xxxxxin the far off land of mojoworld, for reasons unimportant to get into right now, the squishy alien people who lived there have developed a primarily entertainment-based ecosystem. they feed (almost literally) off of ratings. entertainment that is more watched, more appreciated, translates into not just more prestige but more actual power. the current overlord of this dimension is a being named mojo, who will do anything -- really, anything -- to keep his ratings high and his power secure. the latest craze right now is superpowered reality tv and who is he to deny the people what they want? he has sent exploratory committees to the backwater known to its people as "earth" to pick up the best, the most skilled, the flashiest, the quippiest fighters, and bring them to mojoworld for fun and profit.
