Introduction

xxxxxHandsome, helpful, and healthy.

History

xxxxxNot every life is tragic, not every life has problems. Occasionally some people are just lucky and fit the statistical averages. Growing up in sunny Florida with his two still happily married parents, sister and dog, he was the model of American childhood. Corey had friends, he played video games, he played sports with the local teams. He wasn't the smartest, or the most popular, or the most athletic, but he was well enough in the norm. Even his puberty was kind to him, getting taller and stronger like all the other boys without any particular breaking of voice or terrible acne. It was as if the most terribly time in anyone's existence was just waiting to be proven wrong, as everything started going even better for him. Everyone around him seemed to be doing pretty good too, as his closest friends seemed to be benefiting just as he had. It was almost idyllic, in that teen movie sort of manner.

The world seemed to have its problems, from battles to mutants to government outcries. But everything was well for Corey, going to college, having various girlfriends, staying out of trouble. He just didn't have much interest in all the heavy duty goals and agendas that those around him seemed to have. He was content to help other people out, read textbooks, and write his papers, but he didn’t have any major career goals. %r With his degree in philosophy, it certainly didn't aim him towards any particular career out of college, and with savings accumulated from random jobs, he decided to head on north to the bigger cities. If nothing else he’d be surrounded by people which he seemed to enjoy, and there should be more than enough jobs around for him to find something of interest. He could go from personal trainer, to warehouse stocker, to bus boy and still be content with his life easily enough. There was too much life to live to stress oneself out with the rest of the worries after all, and he had a good enough mood to be anything.

Powers

xxxxx Font of Life.

Some people are healers, some people have a green thumb. Call it reiki, or chi, or just a powerful life force. But, whatever it is, it emanates from this man. Any living being within five yards of him just plain heals faster, or grows better. Normal recuperation times are halved in his presence, plants grow at twice the rate, baby animals grow stronger and healthier. Even exercise in his general area seems to lead to improved results. Effects that would drain his energy, life force, etc simply do not seem to impair him in any fashion, though it supplies the individual doing so with its normal benefits. He never seems to get sick from any disease, and he can eventually recover from most serious trauma, though not fast enough to be considered combat regeneration and enough damage will still kill him. This aura of life doesn't seem to have an on/off switch, benefiting anyone equally in the area, and if you asked him about it he wouldn't have a clue he was doing anything.

xxxxxBut wait, there's more.

xxxxxGeyser of Life

Normally the font of life rises up from Corey like a trickling wellspring, bestowing health in an aura around him. However, during times of intense need, he is able to cause the wellspring to erupt in a geyser of energy. This eruption only lasts for five minutes, and after the fact his normal healing aura is gone, slowing recovering to its normal power and range over the next day until its back to full. During the eruption, the area that provides healing energy glows with soft light, and the normal slow healing that occurs reaches new heights. Death itself seems to be halted, as wounds cease to bleed and terminal ailments cease their ravages for some time. The wounds/ailments themselves receive some healing, as if they had spent a few days within Corey’s field normally. This is normally enough to at least keep a wound sealed, but wouldn’t regrow organs or more serious injuries in that time. Those who drain life that are subjected to this field may find themselves “full” for a while from the sheer amount of energy being exuded. The life stabilizing effects of such a massive burst of life force fades after a few hours, but that is usually enough for medical attention to stabilize the subject of more serious harm. .
