Description xxxxxBright and sunny, the lobby of this apartment building is clean and unassuming. Requiring an electronic keycard for entry, the pair of elevators dings cheerfully when one arrives. A small sitting area has bright yellow couches and small coffee tables, though the nearby vending machine is perpetually running out of /something/. Tall windows let in plenty of light during the daytime, and the building maintenance keeps the common areas spotlessly clean. A bank of mailboxes near the sitting area collects mail for the building, a recycling bin right at hand for the unwanted spam. Beside the mailboxes, a large corkboard serves as informal meeting space for the announcements, perpetually flyered with notes and notices from the various apartment residents. Notes & Trivia xxxxx The Lofts is CLOSED; following an explosion the building has been destroyed and shut down. The superintendent is typically New-York gruff, and has little patience with basically everything. Generally quick to respond to problems, but he will do it with a lot of snarking. He doesn't actually like the host of freaks that have taken up residence in the building, but it's hard to tell because he's basically as snippy with the obvious mutants as he is with everyone. Previous building management perished during the zombie crisis. One of the first steps by new building management was to serve eviction notices to all the known mutants in the building. Important Events xxxxx 17 March, 2013 - The apartments were blocked off by police for several hours while they conducted a drug raid. Ryan arrested. 21 December, 2013 - New management takes over. They simultaneously give everyone in the building 25% off of rent for the month of December and serve eviction notices to all known mutants in the building; opinions on this new management are likely therefore rather divided. 29 December, 2013 - Apartments once again kind of swarmed as a SWAT team comes to arrest Jackson, accused of the murder of Malthus. 18 March, 2014 - An explosion originating at apartment 304 destroys a good chunk of the apartments around; ensuing fire and water damage leave the Lofts evacuated and the building condemned.
